Oh I'm def not hating on var. Just how it's used and the unrealistic expectations around it. I use it as a pwo myself. Awesome pumps and vascularity. Straight beast mode in the gym. But it would be retarded of me to credit any of my gains to it.

agreed which is why i did 20mg twice a day. I also new the cycle was short but wasnt yet sure how my labs would respond so wanted to do a short run and also stop a week or so before going under the knife as a precaution. good test to see how my before/after labs will respond and also to quantify my results over that time period. This is just a test! I actually thought my gains were pretty decent for only a 4 week cycle but my expectations were low and i lost a good amount of fat at same time AND i was in calorie deficit so another reason I wasn't expecting big gains. not to mention my test is low for bulking. As genius above said if i wanted big gains I would have tried something more potent but im not there yet...I'm in my 50's so proceeding with caution.

you can expect higher ldl and lower hdl as ussual, if you are not on statin.

last year i did 8 weeks of 50mg daily togeather with mast and statin, hdl was 14 ofc but ldl 43 so good result. liver values were untouched.

as for orals in general, any gains are mostly tepm thing... sadly.

if deployed during cut, var is great imo. vascularity, hardness, ive hit some PR's in almost no kcal, deep in deficit. also, if used 30-45min preworkokt, it gives nice boost.

im not sure if anticatabolic effect of var is stronger than with +350mg of test per week but bar has that nice hard and veiny cosmetic look.

I really loved it. as you say good pumps and vascularity. my gains were solid depending the scale i was looking at (recomp scales) and given the low test background and calorie deficit I was pretty happy with the outcome. I do my my first post cycle labs tomorrow (week after roughly). Will do another end February to see where I came back to. Assuming all looks goo any future anavar would be at 500mg+ test and not in calorie deficit...I am still trying to get my weight down enough to really capitialize on AAS benefits...still got another 10-15 lbs to go i reckon to get to the body fat % I want to see.

i think if you would use it for longer period of time, you could for sure build solid tissue with it. at 50mg daily its additional 350mg weekly of anabolic, with increase in strenght and ability to push yourself in gym.

but again, for sure for growth there are better options. i like var in general, great for cut but i wouldnt use it in growth phase.

i think using orals for growth phase is bit pointless. toxicity vs anabolism ration, or sides ratio.

ive dabbled with anadrol in december and it ruined my bulk basicly. apettite down in 5-7 days (3 weeks in total) at 50mg daily. im probably only guy that lost 3,5kg in 3 weeks during anadrol run...

in deficit its fine and actually + in my book but when you wanna grow, you dont wanna use any stuff that will mess with your digestion and apettite. its more harm than benefit imo.

just 500 test alone will push you quite far. i like test only for growing so far (i have experience with only masteron as secondary injectable, in cut), it works. happy, hungry, horny. i belive test only + ai will get you pretty far.

yes for certain. as i probably mentioned earlier my next one post surgery will likely be 500 test + primo (300-500 TBC based on e2 response). WIll probably go 12-16 weeks and I think I will be at my desired body fat by then too so will be at maintenance or above calorie wise. I have a bit of NPP kicking around I am contemplating sprinkling in at some point but need to do more thinking about best way to do that. 16 weeks is a while-i see no reason I can throw a bit of variety in the mix for a month or 2 somewhere in the midst...primo is another "lower growth" base but fits my goals at the moment...get a good lean base to go off of before doing anything too aggressive.

WIll probably go 12-16 weeks and I think I will be at my desired body fat by then too so will be at maintenance or above calorie wise. if you are 50, probably its wise to not rush it with toxic compounds. rather use milder stuff for longer.

my thinking also...thus the anavar and primo to start. again when you come from nothing even the most mild seem beneficial! nowhere to go but up

There's no reason to split anavar up during the day. Testosterone is your base and running in the background the entire time for anabolism. Use all your anavar at one time preworkout to increase neural drive during the workout. I don't even use it on non workout days. I love anavar used in this way
