Pissed

Really really confused how your doctor let your test be that high for that long. That's who you should be talking to about this, not us.

What would he say? Lol. Probably take me off T all together because I offended his ego by speaking the truth

I switched up my workout today. Low reps and 4 sets of hang clean presses, same for dead lift and a shit load of pull ups. Kept it short and sweet

Only problem, I get light headed, fatigued and dizzy right after and for about 1 minute after a set

... So apparently your giving no thought whatsoever to taking a couple weeks off. There's a very very high possibility you are simply in an overstrained state which can cause almost everything your describing. Continuing to "push through" it is only gonna make it worse. The fact that your getting dizzy, etc after a set is very telling. This really could be your whole issue; especially after seeing the ridiculous volume youve been doing for so long without switching a thing up.

Ya dude even going eod especially with the volume u were doing. And especially if your system eventually got thrown out of whack with your T being too high. It's a very high probability. I've experienced being in an overstrained state before and it's exactly what your going through. The dizziness, fatigue after a set is your body telling you to stop.. You can choose to listen or not. In willing to bet of you take it easy for a couple weeks you may even find your tone coming back a little as well as your appetite. Do some research on overtraining, etc. You have to Learn to listen to your body.

I'm sorry, I just didn't think overtraining could actually account for everything I've experienced. I'd really like you to get a better idea of how significant this is though. If you'd just copy and paste this URL http://imageshack.us/registration/?error=8 and check your PM, you'll know what I mean. I just can't properly show or explain it here.

Also, is there anything I can do in the meantime while I'm on my break from working out that will make me feel like I'm not a pile? :P Cardio of some sort?

Any of these symptoms?

Common Warning Signs and Symptoms of Overtraining Syndrome

Washed-out feeling, tired, drained, lack of energy
Mild leg soreness, general aches and pains
Pain in muscles and joints
Sudden drop in performance
Insomnia
Headaches
Decreased immunity (increased number of colds, and sore throats)
Decrease in training capacity / intensity
Moodiness and irritability
Depression
Loss of enthusiasm for the sport
Decreased appetite
Increased incidence of injuries.
A compulsive need to exercise

Lol you can listen or not. It's worth a shot taking a break and seeing If it helps... After all, your working out right now isn't doing shit for you anyways, right? Or you can continue to be stubborn and keep burning yourself out. Up to you.

And yes overtraining can absolutely affect your physique in a negative manner. Dude your getting dizzy and fatigued after doing one set. What more do u need to know. Your body is begging you to fucking stop already.

This whole thing seems like some kind of OCD'ish / body dysmorphic disorder which is extremely common in, yes you guessed it, body builders.

Oh I believe we've already been down that road before....I agree....but also think overtraining is an issue.

Ya it's a bit of both. Notice how the last thing in the works he wants to try is giving up working out even tho it's making him feel terrible and look worse. He admitted to me he was at one point working out 2 plus hours every day. I think we found the problem.

I've got a lot of the signs to be honest. Fatigue, weakness all day after a workout, heavy legs (hard to run, fucking painful joints, can barely squat anymore and lower back kills, strength decreases, loss of appetite.. The list goes on and on. How valid is overtraining and can anyone besides bax testify to it?

Overtraining is real.

It is human nature [especially with males] to want to physically do something to correct a perceived problem. So in your case, you might be noticing a drop in muscle/strength and then trying to fix it by actively doing more. I know that's what I used to do, and I crashed and burned SOOOO HARD.

Now I lift an average of about 2.5x/week, and along with proper TRT and nutrition [OK i try... but i need to work harder on my diet ] this works out really well for maintaining and building strength. On the other days I just make an effort to get some movement in my life...walking downtown, shoot some hoops, etc.

Dude...it's not hocus pocus science. It's like asking if lactic acid buildup really causes muscle fatigue and soreness.

Remember you DON'T build muscle at the gym....you build muscle while resting. Your rest periods are even MORE important than your workout IMO. I think it's fairly easy to outpace your bodies ability to recover when you're attempting to tear the shit out of your muscles on a daily basis.

I'm MUCH stronger and lift much more when well rested and completely recovered from my previous workout.

Damn I fucking love this forum. Thanks guys, I take some time off.. How many weeks would most likely suffice?
