Pins and needles on curls

When I do curls (standing dumbell hammer or normal curls) my arm starts to go numb and gets a pins and needles feeling when I am close to failure. Doesn’t matter if it’s 30 reps or 10 reps at higher weight so I guess it’s somewhat of a form breakdown issue.

Anyone have the same thing or any advice?

What's going on with your shoulders when you're doing them?

I tried with shoulders pushed back or with them relaxed, it doesn’t seem to effect much.

whao that sounds like lack of blood flow? Or a nerve is pinched is it in both arms?

I’m not sure. Might just need to focus on having better form, I really do try to keep my elbow stationary and not cheat but without a mirror these days it’s hard.

i have injured my elbow.

really fell in love with dumbell preacher curls. not only does it provide elbow support but you're almost forced to have good form on the excerise.

you really cant go wrong with them if you set it up on a bench.

you're a unlucky guy if you're 190cm+ you're too tall to do the excerise

Could be a pinched nerve

Consider checking with an actual doctor, might need an MRI (cuz those don't always heal on their own)

It’s mostly in my hand and forearm.

Seems to be less bad if I really focus on keeping my shoulder 100% stable. Most “cheating” is from exceeding the natural ROM of the curl movement which for me is only through 90 degrees or so (I don’t like to fully extend my elbow at the bottom and at the top if you try to go further it’s just shoulder rotation)

Same feeling if you are sitting on an inclined bench? What about if you are using a cable machine? Also do you have access to an ez curl bar so you can get different grip orientations?
