Personal log with semaglutide

Long time with no update but once again this is because no major updates to report

For week 3 I was going away for a few days on Wednesday and I had to take the dose on that day instead of Thursday. 6 and 8 days between doses should still be fine, and since I plan to take this long term, it's good to get used to life interferences and understand them sooner rather than later. No major difference to be reported on the effect because of this, so all good

So far the drug still works as usual and the 3rd week so far has felt just like the 2nd week in terms of strength. Glycemic control is amazing and can be felt in so many things in my life, makes me think I might have been pre-diabetic before taking this lol. Still struggling with the idea of serving myself meal sizes that I will actually be able to eat but of course I can always just stick what I don't eat in the fridge. It actually feels better to have a direct, physical indicator of how much my appetite has been suppressed. This Thursday begins week 4 of semaglutide and I'm still not 100% sure if I'll up the dose or stick to .25 mg.

The slowing down of bowel movements has been an experience given that I'm used to sitting on the porcelain throne at least 2x a day, and as previously reported I have more gas coming out both ways. Since I've picked up zyns again I've also noticed that I have to be careful to put one in my mouth hours after I eat lest I get some nasty heartburn, which is something that previously would only happen if I ate a lot, but I guess now the bar for what "eating a lot" is has been lowered. Zyns + synephrine is still an amazing combo to curb appetite and I've begun deploying it to shatter appetite in the afternoon, as I felt some discomfort when eating dinner and going straight to bed once. Probably better for me to not be going to bed with my stomach full anyways, lots of nasty stuff associated with doing that to begin with.

Been stupidly busy with work lately, hence no updates

I ended up deciding to go up to 0.5 mg last Thursday because the effect at 0.25 is basically waning off. I apparently managed to pierce a blood vessel trying to pin this SQ on my belly last Thursday. If the pain didn't make this obvious, the blood that came out after did. Obviously did not inject there, picked another spot, but that wasn't nice at all lol. I guess this is what happens when playing with needles. Will have to look into other injection spots besides the belly, maybe

Since starting I've lost 7.3 kg which isn't even my record for most weight lost in a month but still very very nice. I suspect this rapid weight loss might be why the effect is waning off already. Or maybe it's the fact that .25 was formulated as a titration dose. Or both

Still haven't seen any signs of losing strength at the gym, tho I've noticed that now I basically gotta force myself to have a piece of fruit or something else with sugar before going or my performance gets worse in terms of cardiovascular endurance (basically meaning I get really winded and gotta rest a lot more b/w sets). This had not been the case before, and as a matter of fact I usually performed better after a 16-24 hour fast. Very interesting. Might be my body learning how glucose is actually supposed to be used lol
