Peds for MMA?

Depends - what level of preparation are we talking about? Amateur, pro, or somewhere in between? And have you used anything before, or would this be a first cycle?

Also, @accidentaljedi173 might have some solid input - I remember he mentioned he used to fight MMA, so his perspective could be really useful here.

PS: Not sure how guys prep over in the States, but back when I was training combat sambo in my home country, a few of the guys kept things pretty minimal.

Most of them ran something like:
1. Test E or C at 150mg/week
2. EQ at 200–300mg (some swapped it for Primo at 300mg/week)
3. HGH at 2–3 iu/day

Some would add Anavar, but only for the last 3–4 weeks, and even then it was a low dose - around 20mg/day tops.

What's your weight looking like? What's your goals/reason for wanting to use peds in a fighting sport, like are you having trouble with the weight cut or looking to level up your training?

Are you established as a fighter yet, or is this your first fight in a regional scene?

Are you going to be tested?

Personally, I didn't use anything when I was fighting. But, there's many cycles that will help you reach your goals.

With no training or fighting experience you'd be jumping the gun going straight to peds. Why, would you use gear if your not trying to be pro? You just want to slaughter the regional scene?

If you want to be a good fighter then learn how to fight. Your athletic performance won't matter to the average joe. With or without peds I'm confident in the skills I've learned to beat the soul out of most people I run into daily. Go work on your fight iq, then get a regional fight. If you find it's for you then progress. Peds won't help you be a good fighter, training and learning will.

Stop thinking about gear and go actually train. This whole thing just became pretty silly, and slightly offensive.

Honest question, whats up with the low dose Anavar? My experience has been 50mg a day minimum for an amazing look. I do believe I'm a hyper responder to Anavar, and when I took @Trenbolonetax advice and tried 100mg a day (split AM and PM) I literally looked like I put on 20lb muscle without the scale changing at all. Big, full, and vascular AF.

And this is the main problem why people do gear and not get the results they expect. They train for like 2 weeks and jump on gear expecting some kind of Captain America supper serum. If you have no experience with any kind of training, how are you going to even know what is what when it come to performance enhancement? You have no performance! Get at least 1 year of non stop training and nutrition under your belt before you jump on gear.

Exactly, you don't just hop on test and expect to be jon Jones. People misconstrue that gear only helps you train better and more often. They skip over the fact that you actually have to put the work in.

Back when I was younger and still training, I didn’t use anything myself, but one of the older guys I trained with, who wanted to go pro (but never quite made it), used to run low-dose anavar, around 20mg/day for the last few weeks before a fight. He said it gave just enough of a strength and recovery boost, helped tighten things up without adding water or weight, and kept everything smooth for weigh-ins. For fighters, it’s more about staying sharp than chasing a full-blown transformation.

Anavar is widely used. Feeling good after depleting yourself for a weight cut is everything. Epo is good for this also

Jon “pictogram” Jones is famous for Turinabol, lots of guys get popped for EPO like Dilashaw.

In SE Asia, they micro dose short acting testosterone for recovery purposes mainly.

Damn, I thought you had at least 5–8 years of experience under your belt and just decided to toss in some gear, but you haven’t even trained yet? Jumping straight into MMA without any kind of base like wrestling, boxing, or judo is gonna be rough, man.

But hey, if you’re doing it just for yourself, then go for it. Just a heads-up though - if you’re 30+ and walk into a gym, try to steer clear of those 16–18-year-old killers. They won’t go easy on you. In fact, they’ll probably see you as a challenge, try to fold you like a lawn chair, and then you’ll be the guy muttering “I think I lost a rib” on the way out.

So my honest advice? Train naturally for a year. Build some cardio, learn proper technique, get your body moving right, and figure out if you even enjoy it. I trained from 8 to 19 myself and eventually realized I didn’t have either the talent or the killer mindset to go all the way - so I hung up the gloves and moved on. But it was still one of the best chapters of my life.
