Thanks Gents

I've read that 8000iu or less is safe for the large majority of individuals and doses over 4000iu per day may help protect against COVID. I travel often. Stan Efferding, Dr. Joel Gould, and Dr. Mark Gordon, among others, suggest "high" levels of supplementation. I only get 10-20mins of sun a day. Either way I'll be getting my d3 levels checked on bloodwork, my serum calcium is usually middle of the range. Will also check for zinc, selenium and copper. I'm assuming that my iron is fine since i'm running pretty high hematocrit(live at high elevation unfortunately). I can PM you some links when I dig them up, if you'd like.

For K2 I've been trying to eat Natto, but its pretty rough. I'm thinking of sourcing some emu oil, otherwise I know i'm over 100mcg from my dietary sources but barely and was thinking 300-400mcg would be better. I prefer to get what I need from foods. I may get ongoing dexa scans for lbm and bone density.

IMHO the suggested guidelines for most micros are low.
IMO even for COVID protection you really don't need more than 5000 IU. Also using for COVID protection is temporary, too. As long as you're checking the right things you'll be fine.

Vitamin K2 get Healthy Origins brand K2 (MK-7) 100 mcg capsules. Super easy, third party tested for quality by ConsumerLab.

I feel like shit on D and K.
They make le anxious even at low doses.
I'm starting to seriously question their benefits as a supplements, as no study has ever proven causation to health.

Only correlation between disease and low vit D status.

If you're not deficient don't take them. Idk why you would. There's no benefit IMO unless you're low/ deficient

I'm low in D at 24 (30-80).

Still, it makes me feel like shit so I don't take it.

One of the reasons i'm taking it is Dr. Joel Gould mentions higher dosing being beneficial in regards to sleep apnea, I think due to it helping harden the septum. I notice less mouth breathing at night, whether this is due to something else idk. I've broken my nose many times. I'll get my vitamin D checked on bloodwork.

Thanks for the brand of k2 supplement, i'll go with that or emu oil. Do any of you guys use red rice extract to improve HDL? I bought a CoQ10 suplement years ago but afterwards never took it due to it being in some sort of dogshit oil in the caps. Box store brand.

Gentleman,

I started hGH and Humalog this week. Is it appropriate to post details of dosing and timing here or would it be better to start a thread in the HGH and Peptides area?

Thanks
