Milk, for or against?

For years now I've been an avid proponent of milk but recently i think my body may be telling me something as my stomach has been off for about three weeks now. Im thinking of laying off the milk and seeing how it goes. What do u guys think?

I am against it simply on the grounds that other than a small bit with cereal or a big ass oatmeal raisin cookie I am just not a huge fan of milk, and even in those circumstances I'll take rice milk instead if I can get my hands on it.

Do you eat yogurt or take probiotics? Any kind of digestive enzymes?

I had the same problem about a year or so ago. Everytime I had milk my stomach was upset and I mean like waking up at 2am with terrible stomach cramps every time I drank milk. I was convinced I had developed lactose intolerance.

Decided to stop drinking it and cut out dairy altogether for awhile and started probiotics. Started eating Greek yogurt and was fine... Tried some milk.. All seemed okay.

I now drink no less than 64 oz per day, low fat usually. I drink about a half gallon every week of raw grass fed whole milk though as well, comes from a local farm - I add to coffee through the week and it is the gospel.

Give probiotics a shot if you don't want to give up drinking milk, might want to try different protein powder also if you are taking both at same time.

For. I've never had any issues with dairy. Other than cheese and sour cream being too good.

Cheap, easy calories for me. Thinking about trying cutting it out just to see though. Lot of guys swear by getting rid of it when cutting.

I drink one gallon of 1% milk daily along with one quart of liquid egg whites. I also eat quite a bit of other low fat dairy as well. Cottage cheese, cheese, Greek yogurt, Ricotta, Ice cream. I love dairy. I never have any digestive issues. Without the milk and egg whites I don't think I would be able to make my calorie and protein quota. If I were cutting I would definitely reduce my dairy but I would be reducing my calories anyway so...
I love love love love love milk.
Guilty pleasure...I pour half n half on my cream of rice for breakfast.

i wish i had enough $$ to afford almond milk daily, since it tastes fucking amazing... however, I'm still a huge fan of milk.

Man, what's better than a huge glass of ice cold chocolate milk? ?

If you get a moment, watch this documentary. Its actually well researched and contains just the facts. Milk is actually one of the worst "foods" for you. Its responsible for so many intestinal health issues and a host of others that will surprise you. And bare in mind we are the only animal on earth that drinks milk from another animal.

The Dairy Association is almost as powerful as some of the pharmaceutical giants, dont be fooled.

Yea I drink the fuck outta some whole milk. It's tough for me to get all my calories without it but I'm gonna try. I'll do yogurt and try the probiotics. It makes my love handles a lil fatter so let's see without it maybe I'll c my abs again. Lol

That documentary is actually extremely biased. It does more than present the facts. For all the health issues milk seems to be responsible for, it also has some health benefits. Yes benefits. The difference may happen to be in the dose.

And bare in mind we are the only animal on earth that drinks milk from another animal.

To quote:

Hypocrisy versus individual tolerance. I love it when I hear folks say that human adults weren’t meant to consume milk, much less the milk derived from a different animal species. Are you kidding me? So who gets to decide which parts of the cow we should consume? Let me get this straight–we can eat the cow’s muscles, but not the milk that laid the foundation for the growth of those same muscles? Huh? The logic is just too rock-solid for me. Folks who carry the torch against milk consumption typically will have some degree of allergy or digestive intolerance to it, and they take the liberty to project their personal problems onto the world around them. Many of these same “health-minded” people consume whey protein by the tubload –and this is not only a milk product, but an engineered refined milk product to boot. I suggest you raise a salute to cow’s teats the next time you flex your muscles, and let the rest of us enjoy our milk in peace.

I love milk. I was drinking 1/2 gallon fairfax daily which contains more protein and less sugar but my wife prefers I drink organic so I stopped. So I now drink gallon fat free organic E4D.

I drink 8oz once every night when I take a piss.

I'm drinking half a gallon a day right now while bulking. I've been doing this for years, but honestly the older I get I am starting to just get plain sick of it. Drinking milk as an adult is just downright weird when I think about it. But alas this is the lifestyle I have chosen... [emoji848]
