MESO "Specialized" Testing Group Fund

** Starting a thread after there was some interest from initial post, and we have been kicking this idea around for a bit. **

What do you say we all start a special projects MESO fund for testing? Idea is to push the envelope beyond standard tests done today to help answer outstanding questions like bioactivity of UG GH.

For any GH "special" testing, I pitch we do it as a group to help build community here at MESO. I will commit $500 (and some product as part of the testing if we do head to head comparisons). Thoughts?

My concern at this point is Jano's bandwidth and people sending in product separately (pharma vs "generic"). Hence, logistically it may make sense for one person to send samples. Anyway, I'll support whatever the team thinks has best chance for credibility and success.

We also probably need trusted members to be trustees for the fund. Perhaps quorum (2 out of 3 trustees) decision to approve funds for a test? People can also pitch ideas to the decision team, etc.

Sequence and structure identity confirmed by mass-spec and CD.

Activity testing by Nb2 cell line proliferation assay.

2 tests in addition to the purity / aggregates offered by Jano today. Would give structural confirmation and biological activity (IU/mg).

Already did the leg work with Jano. He doesn't have access to Nb2 cell line proliferation assay but does have a lab that will do the circular dichroism comparison between pharma...

There are other non GH projects we could do that I've thrown around here previously. But perhaps better to stay focused and try to get one done as a test case. Then we can fund on a project specific basis.

We were going to do the [-ene] variant testing work for Test C / Test E and had some donors. Haven't forgotten about it @Zebedee if you ever get a chance/still have the interest.
