Making the switch to powerlifting, Gobuckeyes 2017 log

My schedule has been so fucked up this week. I've been working 4am-2pm and working out before work, I can't wait till this is over bc it's messing with my sleep and there is no one at the gym to spot me. I hurt my elbow a little benching Tuesday bc the 2 guys spotting me, yes 2 guys one of each side, didn't know what they where doing and I tweak it.
But on a bright note, I overhead pressed 225 today!!!!!! But my left elbow is feeling it. My deload week next week came at the perfect time.
 
There was also this guy at the gym this morning that you could tell used synthol. His arms where so big they looked cartonist. I just started laughing when I seen him.
To each their own but I'm with you. Synthol abuse is extremely laughable.

Good progress man. Your deload should help you with health and you'll come back poised for more growth.
 
This week was suppose to be my deload week. But I decided to go one more week than deload next week. And test out or mock meet the two week from now. My kids will head back north back with their mom. Then I can really focus on my test/mock meet week.

I almost skipped mine. I deloaded 6 weeks ago so I could have but my elbow and knee has been bothering me so I figured 1 week of light lifting won't kill me lol
 
Good for you man. I can't wait till these nagging injuries go away. What will happen tho is these will go away and new ones will appear. Every since I started powerlifting I seem to have something minor all the time.
The deload and mobility work should do you some good. I have been battling nagging issues as well. Part of the game and for me age. LOL!!!

Yes it is and I wouldn't change it for the world. Waking up and knowing I get to go to the gym is the best part of my day. I'm always a little sad when my workout is over too lol.
 
Back at today and on my normal schedule. Squatted but stopped at 350 bc my right knee started hurting again. Im almost lost at what to do besides just lifting light for a month or so until it doesn't hurt. Fucking pissing me off too bc I'm not going to hit my squat and deadlift goal bc of this.
 
I have a possible solution for you. Where is your right knee hurting? I'll take pic of a mobility banded distraction that you should try along with either squatting light for a bit or doing box squats just above parallel.

On the outside I'm the knee. It only hurts when I'm pushing up out of the hole.
