Making the switch to powerlifting, Gobuckeyes 2017 log

My diet is almost over. I can't work at this restaurant and not eat. We had coconut shrimp, filet Minon yesterday night and today I'm eating a 5 star breakfast with homemade rolls. Fuck me it's good!!! Fuck it, I might as well embrace this gift that has been given to me, food that is, and eat like a king on the weekend

Sqwaaaaatttsss!!! 2x3 405, that's a 3 rep PR for me and the weight seemed light as shit. I think not doing cardio on sundays and just resting all weekend, besides working a 2nd job, has helped me on my Monday workout. I'm pretty pumped and can't for tomorrow workout lol. Working out is the best part of my day, and I'm sad when it's over :(
 
Had a bad ass bench press workout. 2x3 300 paused bench. It felt good, it felt light, since I've got my form down, my bench is really feeling good. I feel a lot stronger now and more in control when I'm benching. I'm benching 315 next week which is my PR but I did touch n go not paused when I did it. I'm sad tho bc my workout is over:(
 
The VA has messed up my moms death benefits pay from my step father I guess for the last 10 years. So they owed her over $30000 bc they have shorted her $300 something a month. So she gifted all us kids $1000!!!! So I ordered strong knee sleeves from sling shot last night and some 26" Wrist wraps. I'm a cheap fucker so $120 about made me cry, but I wanted competition legal gear bc everything I have now isn't. I was going to go with SBD but something about the strong sleeves, probably the fact they claim a 30-50 increase, made me choose them. Now I can't wait till they come!!

Oh yea I workout out also, practice squats. Light light weight and core work, stretching, foam rolling, and cardio.
 
Overhead press day, 2x3 at 200. I weighed in at 215 this morning and I've actually stayed around here for the last couple weeks even with eating so much at my 2nd job. I think the fact that I work 7 days a week and workout 5 days a week allows me to eat a lot lol. I'm like a kid waiting on Christmas for the knee sleeves to come!! I can't wait to try them out, they shipped yesterday 2-3 usps from California so I'm hoping to have them by Monday when I squat again. If not I'll squat on Tuesday just so I can use them. It's a good thing I ordered some wrist wraps also bc I broke the other ones I have today, also broke my headphones but I can superglue them back together.
I got a ace compression sleeve for my left ankle/calf. It's actually pretty big and covers the area I need. It doesn't hurt, I just wanna be safe I guess.

Fuck yea!!!!!! Deadlift day, 2x3 440. It was longest set in history too lol jk. But my last rep on each set I did after about a min or so. What I'm really excited about is I think I've finally found my perfect squat stance for me. It's wider than shoulder width but not so wide like those SHW powerlifters. I started wide when first squating and have slowely worked my legs in but it's hard for me to get to parell like that. I'm constantly thinking I'm missing depth. I squatted light today after deadlift and hit depth easily on every rep and it felt good too!!! I can't wait for Monday to get here now so I can squat again and with my new knee sleeves!!

You'll get there. With all that's be going in my life, it's hard to get my assistance and accessory lifts in.

This week was a little better. Heading to the gym soon.
I feel ya on life. It's only since I switched jobs last year that I now Have more time for my wife and the gym, other things also lol. I make less money and had to get a 2nd job but I'm happier and wouldn't trade it for the world.
