Low or high carbs when cutting

Well I like them lol. Seriously though, I notice my muscles stay fuller but I don’t get bloated as they digest extremely well. I also feel better and healthier.
You may be slighting yourself on carbs. Fructose in fruits doesnt convert to glucose very well which means it gets stored as fat or burned quickly. Very little is converted for glycogen which is how glucose is stored in the muscles and liver. Whole foods would still be my first carb priority.

I’m only eating around 2500 right now. Soon I’ll pull out the rest of my fats, up protein, then pull out carbs, and eventually be on only 600grams of protein for a month or so.

300g carbs + 300g pro + 10g fat should be 1200 + 1200 + 900 kcals… 3300kcals

You should never cut sodium. The only reason people appear bloated is if they’re too fat. If you’re lean carbs and sodium will make you fuller. Sodium also helps with muscular contractions amongst other things.
I'll clarify because you're completely right. Avoiding high amounts of sodium would've been more accurate. I know for myself if I'm eating high sodium foods I bloat out like crazy. But I always try to maintain a good balance of sodium/potassium.

I ask because 2 days of the week I eat around a kilogram of carbs so I figure I don’t really need a lot throughout the rest of the week as more would spillover

How much fructose do you think is in fruit? Also not all fruit is equal. I know how I and a lot of other people respond to fruit and it’s amazing. What do you think happens to glycogen in the liver once it’s full anyway?
Phil Hernon used to have people constantly try to debate him on this, which is who I originally got it from and his response was always look the results
Also there’s nothing wrong with fructose

I guess the keyword was "may". Ive done my research too and ive found that fructose is at least sub optimal which is a good enough reason for me to stay away from it. The liver releases it through out the day. The muscles use it constantly, your brain and organs use it constantly. So unless your just plain over eating carbs which is also sub optimal there should be no problem. Besides even if it is fine Im fine without it, one less thing for me to buy or fuck with

Carbs don’t pack on fat, excess calories do. Your body cannot create something from nothing. No one is special in this regards. No bodies metabolism defies the laws of thermodynamics.

I'm telling ya, that is the text book answer...but I can only give you what my personal experience is. I've tried every type of macronutrient changeup there is over the years, and my body just runs so much more efficiently on high fat/low carb.

At one point I was eating red meat, sardines, and whole egg...almost exclusively. I would mix up some green drinks and beet root powder in there...but that was it. It was the leanest I've ever been. I could barely pin subq because there was barely any subcutaneous fat to pin in to lol. I loved it. But yeah, workout intensity really suffered.

Hey regardless of what’s right on paper if it worked for you then by all means that is your optimal diet to reach your goals. My theory is that once most people get over a certain body fat % their insulin sensitivity just goes to shit hence why they don’t react well to carbs. The leaner I am I notice carbs don’t have that shitty after effect. I’ll just go low carbs until I’m lean enough to where I’m comfortable with higher carbs.

If you’re properly eating in a deficit then over doing carbs would be impossible

Insulin sensitivity is increased with fat loss. In fact very low or no carb to the point of keto can decrease insulin sensitivity.
I agree stick with whatever works, which is what some one can be consistent with.
If you’re losing weight it’s because you’re in a deficit. It’s energy balance. The body doesn’t stop using more calories simply because someone is eating a specific macro.
people confuse the water and glycogen lost on low carb for fat loss. When in fact they’re losing the same amount of fat on the same amount of calories as long as protein is sufficient to retain muscle mass.
No one loses more fat on low carb or low fat. It’s literally cico

I eat carbs on the weekends so I shouldn’t run into common issues of low carb diet right? 800g for two days with 100g the rest of week should keep me going

100 isn’t keto. Have you tried doing 100 for 3 days followed by 1 high carb low fat day?
