as far as..?

I’ve never seen a study on proven any long term benefits of IF. If that exists I would love to read it and expand my knowledge on the subject. The last person who told me the same thing said “I’m not your mother go look it up yourself” and had zero scientific references. So until I see otherwise. I’ll look at it from the points that I’ve read to be studied and proven. Which is no fat loss or body composition advantage.
 
it is something people do long term. fasting, intermittently or otherwise has benefits that extend beyond body composition and gainz.
and like everything else in life, it can be cycled. yin, yang. feast, famine. and and always, somewhere in-between.

Is quoting your self supposed to be some kind of proof? Funny I can post a link up showing proof of what I stated about IF but anyone who claims other long term benefits has nothing.

Here’s one study out of maybe 100 that I could’ve found. Intermittent fasting group ended with a 16% loss in body fat vs a 2.8% decrease in the standard 3 meals a day group. That’s just the fat loss.. also lower inflammation markers and higher hgh levels in the fasted group.

The truth is.. you can find a study to support almost anything you want to believe. But recent science in the last 4-5 years is debunking the old science that says there’s no difference.

Then why is the study I posted showing no difference from 2018.

i thought the highlight would be self explanatory.
that there were benefits to fasting, intermittent or otherwise, beyond body comp and gainz.
same with a "deload". a bulk/cut. yin/yang, on/off.

Our results suggest that an intermittent fasting program in which all calories are consumed in an 8-h window each day, in conjunction with resistance training, could improve some health-related biomarkers, decrease fat mass, and maintain muscle mass in resistance-trained males.

Humans intermittently fasted for thousands of years to survive. It is only in the past century with the inventions of electricity and refrigeration combined with industry and technology that humans have had the luxury of eating all day every day. The human body was designed to run a certain way. Anyone saying intermittent fasting is a fad with no health benefits are just simply WRONG. There was literally a nobel peace prize won a few years ago on the studies of fasting and the newly discovered process of autophagy. The science is new but it is FACT. Is it optimal for muscle growth? Probably not. Is it healthy as fuck and even possibly have the ability of extending your quality of life? Abosfuckinglutely.

Yes I read that part too. So lower test and igf-1 in order to lose a slight more amount of fat? I’ve never said intermittent fasting doesn’t work or has no benefits. But the study I posted was a 1 year trial so I think that overrules your little 8 week initial greater fat loss.

Humans also used to be a lot smaller. Men who walked around over 200 lbs lean were unheard of, it's sort of apples to oranges here IMO. Just a thought

Yes humans have absolutley evolved due to changes in diet and habit, I agree with this thought. But my thought would also be that for the average human it has not been a healthy evolution
