ifg-1 ,and mgf

now I am really confused I read on mesos steroid profile that the young have a better ability to respond to mgf and that the elderly experience a decreased response to mgf which results in a decreased ability to stimulate the groth of new muscle tissue. so if igf-1 gen is spliced towards mgf which initiates hypertrophy and repairs of local muscle damage I am an elderly person can I use igf-1 or not. thanks for any help.
