Cross arm works for alot of guys. It works for me. Idk what it is with oly grip. A combo of poor mobility and i think an overdeveloped back inhibits some like me from ever being able to do oly grip on anything. I dont even think i have poor mobility. I been watching big guys like Magnus and Ronnie and alot of other guys. They do cross arm as well. Their lats are in the way. I been working with a firefighter in my gym who is also an olympic lifter coach. He tells me the same thing. My back is overdeveloped for effective oly grip. It helps but isnt necessary for stability if your just doing FS. Grip it cross armed, tighten your core and keep your elbows up. Its a damn good strong base to work with.

Get your numbers up on them front squats. All the way down all the way up. Its easy to get A2G with a FS. Easier than a BS. Also front squats arent really designed for high reps with any sort of challenging weight. Youll lose tightness and likely get hurt. I like sets of 5. I do 10's as well but it becomes a chore to keep that form when your upper body fatigues from holding the bar up. Keep it up. Legs WILL GROW!!!

Nice I can do 5 reps with oly and then my wrists kill. So I go to cross arms. Which works good. I feel it in my core so much more then regular squats.I always go ass to ground. I see people doing half way reps and its actually worse for you knees. I do higher reps too the least I will do in 6-7.

Man I envy peeps doing A2G. Had a knee op a few years ago, had to build it up again, was told I was going to have a limp the rest of my life. I disagreed. But I just can't get below parallell ever again.

When I watch the big boys at the gym going A2G, I'd f'ing kill for being able to do it. Just one rep. Oh well.

Thats weird because my knee tendonitis that I used to have, If I went parallel it would put stress on the knee tendon and hurt. so I had to go a2g.

Im a puss. 365lbs @175lbsBW

Haha you think your bad! 220 and I can squat 400 if I'm lucky that was my pr I usually hit 375 tho I'm kinda stuck at 375 ment really blasted my atg from 225 to 400 then I settled at 375 mind you I was at 300 90 squat before.

One of those pussys huh? Makes sense. Let me guess you got "bad knees" lol
My health is in perfect condition.
I train to build aesthetic proportions of that of a physique competitor. Modeling after thee legend Frank Zane.
Power lifting in my mind is useless.
It's not functional, can't use it to fight better. It fucks your joints and tendons... Does nothing for aesthetics... It's not bodybuilding.

You don't even need to squat as a body builder. If you really believe that then Ur a mindless sheep brah... Bet u hit up gnc for your bcaas don't ya

“The only way you can get muscle size is through heavy training,” he said after his victory in ’77. “I find that if you train heavy, and then you lay off for a while, you hold your size longer. Years ago my training consisted of a lot of light pumping movements, but my size quickly diminished when I stopped training.” Quote from frank Zane after his win in 77

Hmm. I also read where he said to do no less than 8 reps in an interview with simply shredded long after he retired... Stating that although he did lift heavy in an attempt to be the best, he wished he went lighter and did more reps as you could attain the same results doing so.

Either way he was at a disadvantage... Back then they had access to primo, test, deca, and dbol. But no tren, and didn't think they could get growth either.

But yeah bodybuilding is one thing and powerlifting is another Frank Zane never did less than 6-8 reps per set...

But anyway I don't nessasarly model after his training program but after his proportionality.
His physique.

Also I like and respect you went and did some research. Good man.
