How much Creatine do you guys take?

I’ve been taking 20 grams a day but I think I’m going to cut back to 10 because it seems like there isn’t any benefit of being that high. I just throw it in protein shakes generally.

There have been several high-dose (10+, some as high as 30g) studies in the last 5 years on possible benefits to lower body strength, preventing cognitive decline in aging patients, particularly in dementia and Alzheimer's patients, and also in preventing negative effects of sleep deprivation.

The only thing that's conclusive at this point is that creatine's not likely to hurt you (other than freaking out your primary care doc with a high creatinine until you remind him to run cystatin to calculate egfr).

Bottom line, I don't even bother to measure this shit anymore, I just throw a heaping spoonful in my shakes.

I read mixed anecdotes on creatine HCl vs creatine monohydrate where the latter gives you face bloating? I'd appreciate if yall share some experience

10g daily,
I drink two 1.5L bottles daily, so 5G each. Mainly drink it because I like the taste combination of crystal light pink lemonade and the blue razz flavor of my creatine.

I take 10g a day of creatine monohydrate and have for about 10 years now, no face bloat. It’s the most studied supplement and all of the “designer” creatines don’t come close in any marker. Plus it’s dirt cheap. If you are bloating it’s probably from bad diet/shit hydration/e2 related issues.

I take 3-4g pre Workout, feeling more strengt and energy while Lifting. If i take it Post Workout i feel nothing,

Well, I was watching TNF and he brought up like a good point that he was taking 5 g of creatine and
once it’s fully saturated, you should gain 3 to 5 pounds of water weight and then when he went up to 10 g he noticed after full saturation. He did gain some water weight which indicated at 5 g he wasn’t fully saturated.

Also I think someone with a higher FFMI or more muscle mass than the average person, technically has a higher creatine requirement, theoretically he should have higher capacity for storage, but I’d think the increase is modest (think 5–7 g/day, not 10+).

But again that’s just my theoretical take.

Unless of course you eat like a girl
Which girl tho
