A “reference range” is just what’s normal for a “healthy” population. It doesn’t mean those values are the healthiest for you, especially if you’re on TRT.Yeah, but why estradiol is ok to be 3+ times over the normal range and the rest of hormones like SHBG, prolactin, progesterone etc are not?
Most of the studies showing high e2 as being dangerous in men show that it is predictive of poor health, but that doesn’t mean it is necessarily causative. If you’re natty and your e2 is high, something has gone wrong somewhere, and it may extend beyond just high e2.
“high estradiol levels were found to be associated with a low risk of cardiovascular disease”
“low levels of E2 or FE2 were associated with elevated risk of CVD mortality.”![]()
Low endogenous estradiol levels are associated with elevated risk of cardiovascular disease mortality in young and middle-aged men in the United States - PubMed

Idk who to trust here. I’m scratching my balls, looking at my supraphysiological e2, and I can’t tell if this shit is my friend or foe.“elevated E2 levels have been associated with an increased risk and incidence of cardiovascular disease in cisgender men”![]()

For what it’s worth, here in the UK women are given estrogen-based birth control and HRT, and the docs never test their estradiol levels. Imagine being given testosterone pills, creams, gels, and pellets you shove up your dick and you literally never get your testosterone tested. Of course, that’s just women, but there are women out there with estradiol levels higher than any of ours and they’re doing fine.
