"Greens" what are convenient go to?

Got burnout on broccoli, fresh is great but cooking it just right is time consuming with risk of it being soggy. Was doing bagged frozen peas. I try to add greens each meal for nutrition and fiber. What is your go to?

If you like squash canned pumpkin hits the spot. Lots of fiber too. I mostly stick to frozen veg though. Cauliflower, squash, broccoli and peas as well. Try and get some different colors and you’ll get what you need.

Microwaving broccoli or other veggies doesn't take much time for me. I tend to cook all my work veggies days in advance and have them all in their containers. Chopping up some veggies or grabbing a clump of spinach and having them with hummus is quick and easy for me to eat while my frozen veggies cook in the microwave for a couple of minutes that i will eat with dinner. Countless ways to get veggies in

I'll bake a bunch of Brussels sprouts at 300F for an hour.

Have some now and put the rest in the fridge. They're already cooked so for following meals only need to roast or air fry for a few minutes to warm em up.

I do this with cauliflower too (not green but still fibrous vege).

Now, collard greens are a different story. I grew up in the South and that’s one of the few greens I like cooked.

Haha those seasoned canned collard greens are some of the only greens I like raw. Will eat em straight out of the can.

Maybe the canning & brining breaks em down enough so they're not so chewy & get caught in my teeth (like raw spinach for example).

I’m with @AlexDavis43 on the Brussel sprouts , only im lazier and just buy the microwaveable bags of baby brussel sprouts. I heat them up quick and have them with a pinch of salt and a small amount of butter. They are definitely something you either love or hate.

I don’t really eat a ton of veggies because I get burnt out on them also. What I found is great for fiber is berries. 1 cup of blackberries or raspberries has like 8 grams of fiber and I don’t get burnt out on those.

Yea. I hate them. As I child I tried to slip them under the table to the dog and he wouldn’t eat them either.

Yeah my mom boiled those fuckers and they were horrible & stunk up the kitchen.

Adult me discovered baking Brussels sprouts until soft with crispy edges.

I make my own fresh greens ice cubes I toss into my shakes. I have a commercial blender and typically do 1 bushell broccoli, one bundle asparagus, half a large tub of fresh spinach, half a bundle of kale, 5-6 large carrots, 1-2 apples add a little water and blend it all up, pour into ice cube trays, freeze then put into gallon ziplocks in the freezer. I usually make a month or two worth at a time.

anti-nutrients, oxolates, negligable amounts of vitamins and minerals.
if you want fiber i think you can eat some potatoes, carrots , psyllium husk rather than green vegetables.

Those issues have little influence on people who aren't eating pounds of raw spinach a day. Which hopefully no one is.

I think it was the Paleo movement in the 90s that made a big fuss about antinutrients & oxalates. Some of em still do. Mainly hype but largely irrelevant.
