Getting money back from a company

I've only got 2 secs so I'll make this quick.

I ordered some stuff from an on-line company using my debit card. They overbilled me which caused my account to be overdrawn which means I have now spent almost 70 dollars more than I had intended. (overcharge + overdraft fee)

Furthermore, the order has taken 3 weeks to get here and, now that it is here, they fucked it up! The customer service has been horrendous and I'm seriously contemplating just using a lawyer to fix the shit out of them. Not to mention my "pull" in the online bodybuilding community to keep them from making anymore money off of us.

But now I'm rambling and really must go. Hasta la bye-bye.

Approach the retailer you purchased from and explain the situation. "You overcharged me causing my account to bounce, if I wasnt overcharged there would be no overdraft fee, and along with that when my order finally did arrive, it was incorrect. I would like to know what you guys are going to do to rectify the situation." Be nice about it, unless they say they arent going to do anything. If you are talking to a customer service person and they say "were not going to help you," then ask to speak to the manager. Explain the situation again (be nice) and again ask what they are going to do to correct this. If that person says nothing, then its on to Step 2.

If your debit card is a Visa or Mastercard (rather than just he local bank card), then talk to them and explain the situation. There should be protections in place to prevent situations like this from happenning. If that doesnt work, then the final thing would be to call back the retailer, chew them a new one and demand that they fix the problem (no more Mr Nice Guy here). If they still say no, then youre pretty much screwed. And if they dont correct it, file a claim with the Better Business Bureau, and let the retailer know you are going to do this. They'll find out anyway, but it could be a bargaining item.

I was Mr. Super-Nice on the phone yesterday. Since my e-mail was left unanswered for two days, I thought I would call. They glossed over the part about the 70 extra dollars. LOL I called twice because I never got a call back. Still haven't had a call back. They have until 10am today and then I'm calling again and I'm not sure I'm going to be all that nice. Probably will, but I don't feel like it.
