Fruit and fat gain

Posting a daily food log would be very time consuming bro but I appreciate your reply/advice.

I'm low carb/minimal fat/moderate protein atm. Booze is an issue with me though tbh but it's never bothered me before.

Fruit is the only variable that changed in the last 6-12 months.
Holy fucking shit balls. Hey dumbass, you’re worried that the fruit is causing gut distension when you have an alcohol problem. You’re even more fucking stupid than I thought

@Frozen say it or don't it really doesn't matter, he'll just block you for calling him out

Bro...STFU.
You're tedious and boring.
Contribute some constructive opinions about the topic or go and find another thread to be an asshole on.

You're blocked/ignored now BTW. I've wasted 5 minutes of my life talking to you already that I'll never get back but that's all you're ever gonna get from me.

Goodbye.
Called it

My guess is the alcohol. A close relative of mine is struggling with this right now and they have him on lasix because he is retaining so much water.

After a night out drinking, you may also notice bloating in your face, which is often accompanied by redness. This happens because alcohol dehydrates the body. When the body is dehydrated, skin and vital organs try to hold onto as much water as possible, leading to puffiness in the face and elsewhere.

Fruit is not what it used to be.

That's true with almost all fruit and veg nowadays that's commercially mass produced coz it all comes from genetically modified seeds that were developed to produce consistent size, shape, flavour, texture and it's grown in controlled indoor environments.

Local independent produce is more naturally grown and it's almost always much tastier (but not visually as appealing as mass commercial).

That all is true plus its harvested raw and ripened with chemicals .
In my country good luck eating strawberries and stuff like it .
No matter how much you wash them it still has chemical taste .
I was listening to a doctor on the subject who said that eating a modern apple from the store or eating a piece of candy its the same no vitamins in them only high sugar content .
I grow some veggies and fruit and its different structure to it than the store bought and it has flavor like actual flavor and taste not that watery tasting garbage .
Eating fruits that ripped on a boat and full of pesticides always gives me an upset stomach and poisoning symptoms .

Good post.

The upset stomach and feeling almost poisoned is a close description of how I've been feeling recently and my bloating/distension issue has been getting slowly worse since introducing a lot more supermarket fruit into my daily diet this year.

My initial assumption was a sugar/acid reaction and possibly a build up of gas but now I'm wondering if chemicals and pesticides within the fruits may also be causing me some internal inflammation.

You've given me other stuff to consider now and after a 2-4 week fruit detox I think I will try buying locally and be more fussy about fruit/veg producers and grocery sources.

Things like pineapple and banana aren't grown locally here though and they're my 2 favourite fruits....so I might need to switch to basics like orange, apple, and pear or start looking at "freshly squeezed/no added sugar/organic" fruit juice.

Blueberries i think are resilient and dont need many pesticides so that would be a good place to start .
I dont know if you can find Madeira bananas they are smaller but sweeter and are not full of poison .
Good luck figuring this out .

I have some ideas. You said it isn't fat gain but more of a distended stomach.

The sugar is feeding your parasites and it's feeding your fungus/Candida/yeasts that reside in your gut.

The fruit (sitting in your gut) produces endotoxin in your gut which is causing inflammation. How much fruit are you eating?

Bromelain in pineapple is a powerful substance with is anti-parasitic etc, and it has strong anti-inflammatory effects. The pineapple may be killing off pathogens inside of you, but not adequately (it's not enough to accomplish this), and you are having die-off symptoms (herxheimer reactions).

To get your fruits in, I would suggest blending them into a puree/smoothie form. This will prevent them from sitting inside your gut too long. You still have the problem of feeding the bad things inside of you, but speeding up the elimination time helps a lot.

I'm really thinking about cutting most fruit from my diet and switching to vit c pills instead.
Sorry to be off topic tank. But it appears lukiss98 has blocked me. Is he alright. Still posting. I would have asked in pm but u dont do pm.

I don't know what lukiss is doing bro coz I blocked him 2 weeks ago after I got bored of his juvenile temper tantrums and rage issues.

I stood up for him and even tried to help him but in return all he did was attack me and call me stupid names...

Ok. Same story as mine.
Btw you are up early. 6pm here. Must be 4am uk. At least we can kiss and make up after a tuff. You got to trim that beard but. It is like kissing a 1960s pussy. Too fuzzy and way to salty.

It's 9.30am here at the time of writing these posts. Not early at all but I work crazy hours anyway and sometimes I'm awake all night.

I don't do kisses and I'm not aware of any making up me and you need to do after a "tuff" but if you wanna give me an online blowjob with no strings just for fun and to try and be my number 1 toy.....I won't stop you or say no :)

Ok. But it is my wife who can take her teeth out and suck a golfball up a garden hose. Only got one testicle now. Sucked the other through the eye of my dick on our wedding night.
It hurt like hell. I punched her in the cunt. We joke about it now.
I imagine it is friday morning. It is friday night here.

Sounds like a cool story for your grandchildren when they come to visit you every Xmas ;)

Well, this thread went like most do lol.

Eat your fruit. Find quality fruits (and juices in the right occasions) and use them. This whole “FrUiT iS dAnGeRoUs BcUz SuGaR” thing is a retarded attempt by people still attached to insulin models of obesity to keep people invested in their methodology (IMO of course).

In a mixed meal even refined sugar insulin response is blunted. Fruits have the added benefit of a plethora of micronutrients and are all well below many sugars in the ever popular GI/GL index.

TLDR: fruits are fine carb sources.

Edit: grapefruit juice, pineapple, and bananas are staples for me. Grapefruit juice has a shit ton of benefits and can actually help oral meds (or gear) work better (be careful if you’re on SSRIs and the like) as well as help blood markers. Pineapple is fantastic for digestion. Bananas a great pre or post source of carbs and potassium.

We all know that fruit is amazing for vitamins and health but also high in sugars so at what point does it become a dietary problem that can cause fat gain?

How much fruit do you eat daily and what fruits do you consume regularly?

I've been a pineapple fanatic (once daily) for about 6-12 months but I think it's fucking me up and distending my stomach and I really think bananas aren't good for me anymore either. I eat a sour green apple (granny smiths) about 3-5 times a week too.
I tend to eat 1 apple and 1 banana every couple days. Banana more often than apples, but I eat blueberries the most (more on that below).

I go for the honeycrisp apples, personally. I don't like sour stuff much. The honeycrisp is a nice blend of acidic and sour and sweet. They're cheap near me, all locally grown and organic. I'm lucky to have so much food diversity nearby--they were expensive as SHIT up north even though there were apple orchards all over (the orchard ones were good but they're only available a short period of time).

Sometimes we'll get grapes, but not often due to the sugar. We grow cantaloupe and eat a decent number of those in the summer. We also grow wild strawberries (alpine and some other species, would have to ask my lady she's in charge of the food growing 'round here) and eat a handful of those daily. Fucking a those strawberries are so good. So much better than the ones at the store. They're tiny little things but they're everbearing so they literally produce about two handfuls of strawberries every single day for about 9 months out of the year where I live in the southeast mountains.
We also have several blackberry and raspberry plants that produce a decent amount when they produce, but the harvest is fairly short lived compared to our other fruit plants.

In two years our blueberry bushes (AKA "bloobs" as I like to call them) will be producing. Should get about 50-70 pounds of blueberries.

For now I eat some store bought frozen bloobs basically every day, about a quarter cup with oatmeal or in cereal (I always add whey to my oats and cereal and sometimes hydrolyzed collagen).

I love watermelon too but it tends to bother my stomach, probably because I eat too much of it.

Sometimes I will eat frozen mango with my greek yogurt. But in the US mango just isn't that great. Especially the frozen stuff that's frozen before it's actually ripe which is usually the case, so that's rare. I'll get it if it's on sale and a bag or two will last a long time. More often I use bloobs. As you can tell I love me some nice bloobs.

I personally like pineapple a lot too. I don't buy it often though. I fucking LOOVE putting pineapple in things like zucchini bread or carrot cake--it adds a really nice sweetness to it and moisture.

Anyway. That's my fruit story. I don't notice any negative effects on digestion, unless I eat too much melon. That causes gas and stomach upset. I still take digestive enzymes though

Edit: I'm not just eating fruit alone obviously. It's mixed in with protein and fats and carbs. As Mac11 said when you eat a meal the glycemic index of that meal is essentially blunted by the slower digesting foods. Like if you eat eggs and jam, or egg noodles, the glycemic response is totally different than eating jam alone, or plain wheat noodles. I like apple and banana with peanut butter or in oatmeal or the latter in cereal with whey.

Serious topics do get quickly derailed on here don't they....

I appreciate your response and opinion about the subject.

I’ve read about this before but it’s been a long time. Can you share any sources of info on this? I’m very interested/curious
