I know for a fact that turkey brest off the bone is much better for you than cold cut tukey...just because of the sodium content in the processed stuff

Right. Lunchmeat is not your best option, but it won't kill you either. Cook a turkey and make sandwhiches out of that. If you insist on the lunchmeat option, then make sure it's the high-end shit like Jennie-O, Sara Lee, etc. and that it is from the deli counter, not that prepackaged shit.

MMMMmmm Griz, you make it sound so appetizing. Nothing I enjoy more when I get home from the gym than kicking off my shoes, firing up a doobie, and tucking into a steaming, heaping plate of high-end shit. As Grammy used to say, if you don't like shit, you don't know what's good!

Boar's Head is pretty good as I recall from the days when I lived in the States. Don't know if you get a brand called Brandt's in the States, that's good stuff too.

Boars Head rules! Dont find it much around my area.

Lately Ive been picking up some prepackaged turkey lunchmeat from Sams. A total of 40 slices, each with 0 carbs, 0 fat and 5g protein. I havent checked sodium content because in all actuality, I just dont care. Other than that, the only real downside is the nitrates/nitrites.

never even heard of boars head lol. Until i learn how to cook a turkey, I will keep to cold cuts etc

I will have to check that out. Would be handy as hell. Would give me lunch for a week or two. What oil do you fry it in?

Deep fried turkey is the best! Thick, you should pick up a turkey and one of the frying things. You drop a full chicken, turkey, whatever into this fryer for about 45 minutes or so. When its all done, you end up with the juciest turkey youve ever had. Its awesome!
