First Nipro Experience

After reading all the hype about Nipro thin walls I was able to give them a go for the first time today. Used 27g 1¼" thin wall into the leg. Before this I was using 25g and before that 23g. The 25g don't bother me, but I've been doing daily injections for 16 weeks and the other day I had my first experience crunching through scar tissue. Gnarly!

The 27g bends. That freaks me out. It was so sharp that initially breaking the skin was very sensational. Not quite painful just not the experience I expected after reading your experiences. The rest of the insert after that was smooth. I need to work on my range of motion because pinning VG and Glutes causes me to shake and cramp and the needle sometimes slides in and out in a repeated stabbing motion. So with how easily the 27g Nipro bends I am not comfortable pinning anywhere besides thighs.

The other thing I did not like was how slow the plunger moved. I can inject through a 25g much quicker than 27g.

This was your first experience with 27g? I feel like 1in is as long as id go. Thanks for the update I had the 1 1/4 in my cart but was on the fence.

I sometimes wonder if that "sawing" of the tissue is causing a future issue.

I wonder which causes less damage.... getting it done faster, or using something smaller
I think its about which one helps you cause the least damage.

Shaky, crampy, uncomfortable and pain from twisting would lead me to think that quicker will be better. If its somewhere you have good access to and arent straining yourself causing you to shake, then the smaller and slower method would cause less scar tissue than the bigger guage and quicker poke.

This is just my experiences. I have neck issues so I know the struggle. I dont even try glutes when im feeling stiff or pain anymore lol

And first experience switching from 1.5 inch to 1¼". Not really sure how deep I need to go to penetrate muscle

I started using Nipro this week, 25g 1" for Ventro Glute and 30g 0.5" for delts. Definitely better than my previous needles I got from Amazon lol

Agree, it does move slow.

I’ve switched to Nipro 25 g

Just be careful …I was using 18g to withdraw didn’t pay attention to the “25 gauge “ I switched to inject in my quad..injected went dam it left a hole and the oil started coming back out…it was another 18g needle I used…..but it didn’t feel any different when I injected…lol

This made me cringe a little. At least you were pinning quads and not delt lol. I pinned delt with a 22ga 1 inch years ago and can still remember that experience!

I've had an 18g needle core a rubber stopper once too, so now I stick to 21g or smaller for drawing.

Yeah I dont understand the use of harpoons, especially for vials you plan on re-piercing daily/often.

I dont think ive ever used anything bigger than a 25guage. Even with that, the oil moves through the syringe in seconds. like a 5-10 second difference max between the two guages. Just seems pointless to buy a case of 18guage needles when you can use 25 for drawing and pinning if you wanted.

Also, yeah you dont want to core stoppers. Especially if you dont have the super fancy new stoppers lol
