I am thinking about an Equipoise only cycle.
Seems like mixed reviews on this idea with more people somewhat against it. But that also seems to have a lot to with people’s stateed goals. It sounds like it would be good to have some Test. on hand as some have said that an EQ only cycle can make you feel kind of shitty and a little Test. really helps. Some have also said that by itself it can create some impotence, which would suck.
I’ve never done a cycle. I’m 28. Been training consistently for 14 years and been interested and curious about steroids for about the last 6. Currently, I’m not concerned with bodybuilding or putting on a bunch of mass.
What I’m looking to gain:
- Increased appetite – EQ seems to get mentioned a lot on this topic.
- Slight shift toward increased protein synthesis.
- A little bit of increased performance.
One thing that I strongly think holds me back from further gains is lacking appetite. I’ve done the force feeding thing successfully in the past but I hate it. It makes me feel shitty, bloated and sluggish and not even want to train which defeats the purpose. I don’t eat a bunch of crap and I use digestive supplements which help but don’t help the appetite part. I’ve tried various strategies and fought with my appetite for years.
I was on deca for a couple weeks a few years ago and it seemed to really help my appetite which just made everything a lot more enjoyable as far as being able to just train and eat some food and not have to feel so OCD or feel like I was “forcing” things so much.
I am getting some labs done very soon and would track biomarkers through cycle.
Questions:
1) Anyone have experience with EQ only? Are my goals in line with this?
2) If you think I have to have some Test in the cycle, what would you suggest? Could I get by with a small amount? Could I even use it on an as needed basis or does it need to be used consistently?
3) I’m thinking 10-12 weeks at 400mg/wk of EQ but honestly if I could take less and still gain some effect then I would. Thoughts?
4) I’m thinking it’s intelligent to have some AI’s on hand but most likely not going to be needed in this kind of cycle, correct or no? Also would PCT be necessary in this kind of cycle or would tapering be sufficient? Doesn’t seem like this would shut down HPTA function too drastically but I have no idea.
