Fastest way to look my best?

I'm gonna stop my cut where it is now, for varying reasons, but I want to know what I can do within a week (because I'm about to have a week off my manual labour main full time job, but will have all that free time to be in the gym) to get into the best possible shape (for my current physique) and take some pictures. Carb loading, water depletion, pump stacks, any tips would be great.

Also let me know if there's nothing I can do cause I'm a mong for leaving it last minute

At that body fat percentage water depletion isn't going to do anything and carb loading won't do a whole lot, you need to be shredded for that to matter.

Just worry about a pump. Use a product that has at least 6-8g+ citrulline and 1.5g+hydromax/glycerin, along with plenty of water and keep your carbs clean. Avoid dairy and processed shit that will cause inflammation

I make my own preworkouts so I can just dose in plenty of citrulline. I do have other thinks for a pump but they make me bloated and gassy so I won't bother with those. I think I'll still water deplete and carb load anyway (partially cause I accidentally deleted carbs for a couple days cause of upping protein super high, then reintroducing them cause I had shit energy, and had a mad pump), but I'm hoping to go in there looking dope, especially with my vascularity.

Side note, just do full body pump training?

Careful with water depleting. While you are lean, you're not shredded, so it's not going to have the effect you want. And you may end up having a negative impact on blood volume leading to a less vascular look. I really advise against it.

If you like the way you look from the way you currently train, don't change it. If you're getting ready to leave the house to go somewhere specific and water to get a pump, go for it

Okay. I may not do the water depletion, but I did carb loading by accident after a depletion a few days back and the pump was dope, so I'll still do that for sure.

Yeah something like that is totally fine. But if you try to do some crazy stuff it usually back fires. Carb load with good carbs if you can!

So you're saying that I can't have my birthday meal and cake the day before to carb load? Half joking when I ask

Also, besides accidentally fucking up and screwing up my shoot from doing it wrong, is there any real negative to water depletion, or at least is it just going to be a small difference in look positively if done right? I'm still considering if I'll do it anyway, but if it's only gonna be very minor I won't bother.

So do I just decrease carbs by a fair bit for the next 5 days, the day before just slam in tons of good carbs (save my birthday cake for after the shoot), and then come in the morning with a full body pump workout and take the pictures?

I'll try to explain.

If you take let's say Branch Warren, suck the water out under the skin and pull it tight over the muscle, it'll look wicked right? Now let's say you take someone who's fat and do the same... What's skin tightly pulled over fat going to look like? You're not by any means fat, but where you're not shredded you're not going to get the look you want.

I would slowly increase carbs, not slam them and risk spilling over. Let's say you have 5 days to go, take 3 days and go lower carb, train normal but leave a few reps in the tank, then bring up carbs a moderate amount the following two days and monitor your look and adjust accordingly. You pound 800g carbs out of no where, you may spill over and look like shit. Shooting to gain that 2% better look and ending up 15% worse is a shitty reality many encounter

Okay, no worries. I'll do that, scrap the water depletion. Thanks for all the help.

My wife is making my birthday meal, pork belly, sushi rice, side dishes of mushrooms and romaine lettuce. I can measure our how much rice for my carbs and eat that, cause I could eat absolutely tons of that if I wanted to.

100%!!! Totally a good option

Only change carbs, no other variables. So calories would go down when you reduce them

First of all, you look good now.

Why do you need pictures just during this certain week?

Bulking and cutting should be longer term propositions. Months of consistent work towards a goal, not weeks, not days.

Otherwise, research carb depletion and peak week stuff for bodybuilding. I am not sure how it looks if you are not show ready, but basically it means cutting out carbs and depleting all the muscles of their glycogen stores, and then, when you are looking all stringy and gross, introducing carbs again in an ascending manner each day until your muscles are all puffy and full. If you time it right, you can go until you spill over, then cut out carbs and water until the water under the skin goes away, and then just keep it maxed out but without spilling over for a period of several hours. This will require another set of honest, objective eyes, and, like I said, it may not work well when not show ready.

But my real suggestion would be to set a date ten - twelve weeks out, do a real cut, and then take your pictures.

Better yet, pick a competition date, and buy pictures from the assigned photographer.
