F***ing USPS!!!!!

I had a delivery sent to a fake name adress.
Instead of putting it (as usual) in the mailbox downstairs they tried to delivery it to the door. No one was there to accept it.
I rescheduled for redelivery over the phone giving the fake name and said clearly to have the package put in the mailbox or by the mailbox.
I checked the track# again today and it says " Your item could not be delivered or returned to the sender. It is being forwarded to a USPS mail recovery center where it will be processed".
What shall I do?, are they gonna open it?, I guess they will - what if they track my call back when I called for the redelivery???

Give me some input fellas.

thanks
AJay

bro your package is as good as gone , it will be opened , your call will NOT be tracked , shitty deal , but at least you wont have to worry

How are you so sure about the call not beeing tracked.
If they will open it, then they will see the content and don't you think, that they'll prosecute it??

thanks

Your first mistake was using a fake name on a USPS, these reqiure NO siganture unless specified. Its doubtful the PO will open your pack, unless youve given them significant reason to, like calling up and using a fake name to check on your pack. If you miss a delivery, go to the PO and pick it up, how hard is that?? I never understand why people make things more complicated than they need to be. IMO, youre being paranoid. Now that youve decided to use a fake name, you have no ID to pick it up in person. Next time go go domestic, use a legit name and addy, domestic is relativley safe. Not flaming you bro, just MO:)

Paranoid? Yes a little, but more precautios.
Using a fake name has the following advantages:
To many sources go bust quite often and then the law enforcement guys will dig up your name, address etc. on the busted source database!

Many times you hear that bottles inside the package might brake and the oil leaks out so the post-employees get suspicious (especially now with the Terror-attack paranoia) open it up, bring it to law enforcement - and your ass is on the line.

So, rather to deal with any of these possibilities, I choose to go the route I decided.

thanks

the first pack i ever received had a busted amp in it. sicomed phenylprop. it was over seas, the pack was oily, nasty, and stunk. i still had no problems. real name and addy.

I've picked up packages from USPS many times. Never used a fake name 'cause it doesn't make much difference if you're holding the package.

Matrix

If it requires a signature I wouldn't accept it because that might mean they have already opened it up and need you to sign your life away

I make it very specific when ordering gear not to require a signature, I would rather take the risk of it getting stolen or delivered to the wrong place versus them haveing me sign for a controlled substance, thats enough evidence to mark you as a felon for life.

A-Jay - no worries bro...happened to me...here is the scoop

I have very, very close people who work for the USPS, they told me, when I freaked justlike you ;-) that they will not open the pack...it goes back to sender...your source, unless an idiot is long gone or using a diff addy....then it sits in central processing for someone to claim it.....too bad you used that fake name....i understand why you did....but if you cover you ass on the order by using secure email with freedom websecure or a coffee shop logon, and gloves to send all info and handle all packages you send....you have complete deny-ability if you get busted. the best thing to do if you are super paranoid is to get the package shipped to you with your real name and don't open it for a week or two....then, if the man busts in, you can just say you don't know what the hell the package is...it was from an unknown sender and you were just about to take it back to the USPS.....no judge would convict you if you had a lawyer....all evidence is purely circumstantial....think about it....you can in theory, send any person you hate a package from a source and then set him up.....just use your head if you are nervous....

More advice, don;t contact the source and ask for any favors...its your fault and it will piss him off and lower your cred...

aside from that....good luck!

they dont need your signature to bust you...you just have to take posession.....use your real name... have stuff delivered to a clean addy, you will be fine...this is a costly lesson you just learned...i wouldnt worry about it

Not really, we are all bros here and none of us want to take losses, most likely his source has offered to resend the goods for half price..

I see that some suppliers have added a FEDEX shipping option to their list.. FEDEX is more costly then USPS, but FEDEX also offers REAL TIME tracking, you may call them and find out where your parcel is anytime with them..

I hate to add this but if they brought it twice and would not leave it after being told to I can only think of one thing - CONTROLLED DELIVERY!

After all why not leave it after being told to do so?
I have never had a mail carrier not leave stuff - even the first time much less after being told to.

Good Luck bro but I suggest you write it off and do better next time.

They will not leave the package in an "unsafe" place.. for example outside apt building.. AJay should have used his real name, or better yet a P.O. box.. His goods aren't a loss if he sends his source half of the price of the goods, I am certain the source will resend..

This is the only way I have ever done business....just make sure you have it sent Priority overnight...this way Fed ex has to move it as quick as possible to meet the deadline...less chances of it sitting somewhere very long and becoming suspicious...and like proline said...you can constantly track it at all times, so if it is sitting somewhere for more than an hour and a half, then you need to beware.

ajay i've been through that before, the only thing there gonna do send back your pack, unless you ordered a ton of gear weighing more than a pound or so there is no way there gonna open your pack. it just dosen't work that way. don't worry bro go get your shit and get large

arent they simply gonna send the package back to the source? Why cant he just resend without half the cost of the goods?
Or don't they return to sender on packages?

Of course the return addy may not be real either.

This is why I use a PO Box.

??

I have a question bros and I need it answered pretty quick. I ordered from a bro here on Meso whose handle starts with "A". I thought the pack would be delivered w/o a sig, but the tracking on it shows that they tried to deliver it and left a notice. Pretty weird considering my mailman BROUGHT me my mail this morning, at his usual time. The tracking number shows there was an attempted delivery at 11am this morning, at the same time that my mailman delivered ALL OF MY OTHER MAIL. Am I being set-up? The bro is golden, he'd never require a sig. Any answers/comments would be appreciated. Sorry if I hijacked this thread.

I am going throught the same thing rightnow..Clean house is all the advice I can give you and make sure to get someone else to call in case that way they cant prosecute if they try and CD...That is if you call..I would give it another day and see what happens...Again I say CLEAN HOUSE...

slick i would email your source and ask him, sometimes they send it with comf. required to make sure they don;t get scammed by you saying you never recieved i just signed for 2 kits today.
