Elite Level Powerlifting Cycles

again, this is what ive been told. cant really be sure. but i trust the source it came from. also, Eric is only like 25 and looks like he is 35. SR is only like 45 and looks like he is approaching 60. which i would say the heavy gear use contributes to.

and not taking anything away from your boy, he is clearly a beast and will do serious damage if he stays healthy. but he is #4 currently. couple guys jumped ahead of him after the US Open.
Yea if he stays healthy, and trains smart he'll be ok! He has great genetics. His dad pulled either 800 or 805 at 50 years old.

Lmao!!! Fuck that. I'm 5'9". I can see myself getting to 250-260. I hit 240-242 last year. After this cycle I'm going take a nice long break on trt. And recover.
I have a benchmark in strength that I want to hit before I make another run at adding mass but at 6' even I think I can get close to 300. adding size isn't my problem, adding power is. I love to call it 'more show than go' lol

@franchise24
i saw you mention Eric Lillebridge. i have a good friend that has been out to their gym and had dealings with that family and that circle. they dose test based on bodyweight. every 100lbs you do 1 gram of test. so eric weighing 305 is doing 3g's of test a week.
This is exactly what i was saying before, almost every PLer i know goes by bodyweight when it comes to planning their cycles and choosing their doses. Saying that these guys are taking 10 grams of gear a week is just laughable tbh. No amount of gear is going to make up for genetics period and your body has a point of diminishing return.

I agree.

Adding power and adding mass are two different schools of training bro. People like to think they are relative, which they are to a degree, but still training for power is very different than trying to add lean mass.

Adding Mass isn't an issue. But I bulked natty for two years. Went from 175 to 220. Got tired of stuffing my face. I needed a break from that. Next cycle I will go for the minimum 250. I'm already planning it. Lol

This is true. But you can sought of get the best of both worlds with something like a 5x5.

You will add power and mass. But it won't be maximal.

I got to 240 off 5x5. Strength was ok. Now I'm about 220 and training purely for strength and power. And I'm stronger now than I was at 240.

Oh absolutely bro 100% as a matter of fact the program i designed for myself now involves hypertrophy training and raw power training. I honestly love it so far and can't wait to see the end result. I took a lot of inspiration from ronnie coleman when putting it together.

Nice.

You dont need anyone just take 10 grams of test bro
It would be sweet if it was that easy, not sure I'd go that high though lol.

It's bench that gets me. I could not imagine having serious weight issues without some help. I've had to get 295 off my chest before, don't want to know what a heavier weight feels like. I could struggle with low 300 on my own but if you give me a spot I can get unto the mid 300s and feel great. That's something I haven't found a way around yet.

No workout partner with dl or squat isn't a huge deal for me. It's chest.

Might put an ad on Craigslist lol

Definitely tren man nothing gets you as strong. It being for strong man i wouldn't run a crazy high dose since tren fucks with your endurance. Also halo is a must and would consider test suspension or tne to add to the mix.
Idk why but he is opposed to running tren Iv been telling him that

Damn man thats funny i always had a hard time with chest too till i met my last coach. Bench press can be divided into different stages and you need to find at what stage you are weakest and hammer it out. If its the actual initial push of the chest then train that first third of the lift. What i mean by that is take a weight you know you could get 6 reps with and only lift it a third of the way up, hold it there for a bit, then down and repeat. Its hard af but eventually you'll be progressing the weight in that first third of the lift till you can do 315 comfortably. Then the rest of the lift will become very easy. Using this technique i went from 315 1rm to a 435 3rm within a year.

Gotta work them slow twitch fibers too. Thats the difference of pure quality mass between BB and PL.
My favorite strongman that ISNT named Shaw is Pudzianowski. Theres a guy who gets it. He reportedly trained BB style in the evenings and strongmen events in the mornings. Hes strong and looked the part. The freakiest strongman who ever lived. Being strong doesnt mean you gotta be visually unimpressive. I think he showcased that.
