Anyone ever get a delivery confirmation notice in their mail box when ordering? It basically says that you can pick it up or sign the notice and they will re-deliver. I'm not picking it up. Anybody with experience with this help would be greatly appreciated.....thanks

Is this with a private courier or USPS??

Was signature required for delivery??

That's what it sounds like to me. Sig was required, and you werent home, so they need you to sign the paper, and they will leave it on the door, or you can go grab it.

I know this isn't what you're talking about, but the USPS has changed it's Priority Mail a bit. When visiting the post office to ship a priority package you used to have to ask and purchase a delivery confirmation #. The DCN is now included but you don't get a green receipt with the DCN as has been the case. The DCN is on the receipt.
I was told by a source this isn't welcome news. He told me he can't electronically generate a dcn now....he has to have his people ship in person face to face at the PO.

To the OP....I would need to know a few things. You can PM me if you like. Was it an Express pkg shipped domestically? Is it int? I assume you're expecting something from somewhere? Gear? Correct?

I'd contact whoever sent the package and ask if they paid for the signature required or DC option or if it was included. If what bigben says is true, I dont see it being an issue. I guess you could always chicken scratch some stuff on it that's not your actual signature. Just say you weren't home to see the notice and someone else must have been trying to snag a package from under your nose because you weren't expecting anything. Also if you really want to be anal about it, try not to leave DNA or finger prints.
