Defunding the Uncontitutional ObambiCare

What do medical insurance premiums provide to the people who pay them?
Who is the big winner in all this?

.....the premiums pay for your insurance? You pay medical insurance like car and house insurance. You hope to God you dont need, but you glad as hell you have it. In a way, for the people who use the insurance extensively, you are pre paying, and self subsidizing your healthcare. I pay 20 bucks a month, need to go to the doc for a check up, He charges 150. I only pay the copay of 20 bucks and the insurance picks up the rest.....hell the insurance industry is just a micro socialist economy.

TOn a personal note, I have been ill most of my life and have used insurance.....extensively. Obamas bill just made it illegal to create lifetime limits meaning that I cannot be kicked off my insurance for hitting an arbitrary payout limit. Also, now that I have a new kidney and will be looking for work, I cannot be denied coverage based on pre existing conditions. 2 things that I am immensely greatful for

Congratulations on your improved situation. That is indeed a blessing.
I dont think anyone would argue that there needs to be change in health care in USA. But a total
government takeover of the system cannot be the answer. Im not sure, but Im kinda doubting that the technology that brought about the ability to give organ transplants was thought of by
someone in the government. (I just looked it up..I wasnt) So just for one example: Further medical research will probably also not be thought of by someone in the government. It will
probably come to a halt.

The government might come along and fund for such research, but how much cronyism, waste, fraud and pure bullshit will be attatched to that money?

There is so much wrong with this bill it would take a book to explain it. But in the end it does not matter - it will be defunded and then repealed. The only thing we have to look out for is some form of RINOCare. The GOP has just a good a chance of fu**ing this thing up as the liberals. No worries, I am already aware of a strategy that is going to blow the socks off of everyone. Prepare to live in interesting times. The federal government is about to get a smack upside the head they will never recover from.

To all those that disagree with the health care bill....what would you propose happen instead? Here's what I know, I know I cant possibly have anything to add because I didnt study with (insert name drop here) and only study lowly biology, but heres what I do know. Medicare, while flawed, works in the sense that older americans have access to healthcare they would not have once they quit work. They pick their own doctors, choose what, if any procuedure they want done, and pay a premium...and guess what...its a form of socialism! gasp!

I guess Im confused as to why the Gov doesn't make Medicare available to all, raise the premiums a bit for all (poor elderly, have to pay a bit more) but still leave the private sector insurance alone. If my work does not offer or i cant afford, I can choose medicare. I can insure my family reasonably and feel secure. If we open Medicare to more people, the pool of money increases as well, especially if we take into account that a vast majority of American as of yet haha
are not chronically ill and dont spend more than what they pay into the system.

The insurance problems didnt just happen over night. they were waiting to happen years before Obama came into office. Its insane to expect perfection the first time overhaul is tried.

[:o)] Oh REALLY. The insurance industry is a private sector competition driven cost-benefit industry that competes on an open market insofar as it is able to given the regulations even pre-Obambicare. A microsocialist economy?! Please, your smarter than that.

How timely is this shit. Just got the news today (bless the presidents soul) my health insurance price will double in January. Its official, I cant afford health insurance. Ive joined the masses.
Just another slub that will find himself fucked thanks to government intervention. Ive spent a lifetime paying taxes to support the shitheads of this country, and now Im one of them. Im not finding much comfort in this.

And Ive got news for the rest of you........YOU ARE RIGHT BEHIND ME.

Worry not my friend. It will soon be over. Look to Virginia. When Virginia makes its move many states will follow. The end of ObamaCare and large government is nigh. I am truly sorry you are getting sucked down the BS social justice gambit. In the end, the powerful remain powerful, the poor remain poor, and the ranks of the middle class shrink. More and more people are figuring this out. It is how socialism works. But not here and not on our watch. Hang in there buddy.

Hi zkt, I would say they suck but it's a small price to pay, if you compare it to what they pay for med bills vs you.

The big winner in all this, well not us, alot of thoes insurance companys are, because of the people who never use thier insurance. I guess that is maybe how insurance companys come out head?

Correct me if i am wrong. Thanks, mrmorris!:)

I can only hope you are right. This is absolutly unbelievable.... $6.00 a month short of double. Actually $5.00 and change short. And we still dont know what changes are going to be made to the med cost........This socialism thing is working out great so far. We will all have a fat equal share of nothing. But it will be equal.

You just described socialism to a tee. Bring those who are up down in an attempt to bring those who are down up. This is fiscally unsustainable. In the end, mediocrity rules. Look at it this way. In France they just rioted because the retirement age was raised from 60 to 62. Socialsim breeds teat sucking wimpy pu$$ies who fly off the handle when mommy takes the milk away.
