US De Minimus exemption ending for all countries earlier than the original 2027 scheduled date. All packages entering the US from 8/29 will be subject to comprehensive documentation requirements, customs duty charges, and full inspection:

Allegedly the decision to end the program 2 years early was prompted by CBP reports of shipping companies from China rerouting packs to appear to be coming from countries that still had De Minimus privileges, to avoid inspection and tarrifs. The result being an increase in De Minimus volume, instead of the decrease expected after it was ended for China, which had been where the vast majority of small packs were coming from.
