Cutting: Eating less vs more cardio

If you’re eating 800-1000 cals of protein and taking anabolics you’ll lose no muscle in a 7 day period. You’re gonna feel like complete shit and wrecked. You’ll look small and flat, you’ll probably feel weak in the gym but you’ll retain muscle mass.
Lyle McDonald has a good book called rapid fat loss.

Yes. Also, the exclusive protein intake will shut off your hunger hormones, so your appetite will be diminished.

You might have been in that in between point between low carb and ketosis....and yeah, that is a horrible feeling. It's a better feeling to be fully in one or the other.
Keto really does blunt my appetite even if I’m not fat adapted just doing it for a few days

At 9 calories a gram, fat makes it very difficult to cut.

Yeah, you're right. When I'm doing keto, it's less about calories for me and more about carb intake and blood sugar levels. If I eat less than 20 carbs a day, it doesn't matter if calories are high (on body composition).

If calories are high you will get fat regardless of macros. Calories are all that matters

There's a point in which you're right I think, but calories would have to be way above maintenance for that to happen. Keto reduces appetite, especially with high fat foods, so it's hard to get the calories needed to gain fat in the first place.

@NLM36 is right though, if you’re eating above maintenance on any diet you’re not losing jack shit. Keto however makes it difficult to eat much above maintenance unless you’re doing it like a fat chick eating dark chocolate and “keto cookies” drizzled in olive oil.

Milos Sarcev would disagree with you and say that ped using bodybuilders don't easily convert carbs and protein into fat. Whether it's true or not I don't know. I always preferred very low fat intake and got peeled easily.

I've been a month on 6ius of GH and I am getting veins all over my abs and oligues. Fat is disappearing. It almost seems unfair how easy it made cutting. Not to mention the fullness on lower carb and kcal intake.

Idc what Milos says. If you eat in a high enough surplus of cals you will get fat no matter what you’re taking.
some things raise your metabolic rate and increase nutrient partitioning, somethings lower it but it all comes down to cals in cals out.
Milos takes lean guys and feeds them a ton of food and drugs and gets them to marathon workouts and tons of cardio. Start forcing down 10000 cals a day and get back to me.
I know a ton of guys that use boat loads of shit that get fat if they eat too much.
