Coinbase fees

Hey guys I placed an order through Coinbase to an Asian source and the fee is $49 WTF? Yikes.
And the payment is still pending Is this normal? Are fees less when shopping domestically? Thanks

doesn’t sound right at all, I’ve never come anywhere near that with much larger transfer amounts. Fees are much lower if you use coinbase advanced as well
Doesn't sound right to me either. I'm thinking for your amount @Sourbuds it should have been somewhere around 15 dollars.

@MissedArmDay66, what does the advanced option cost? I seem to remember there is either a monthly or annual fee for it.

If people pay in crypto a lot it probably is worth it to go with the advanced.

Doesn’t cost anything to use it, just like regular platform. It has a lot more “bells and whistles” and can be daunting to someone not used to doing much trading, whether it’s crypto or stock. It gives the option to do futures trading which i personally would never dabble in with crypto. The main thing is if you are just using coinbase like i do, to purchase ( because i dont have to wait) and transfer, you save money on advanced platform. Just select it and check it out, you can go back and forth between the two easily.

Coinbase is highway robbery. CashApp has lower buy/sell fees.
You may have a point for people who do nothing but transact bitcoin but for those of us who do nothing but buy and sell solana coinbase is superior. My fees are next to nothing to buy and solana gas is pennies to transfer. If all you’re doing is buying crypto to transact with UGL’s you should probably start dealing in solana. You’ll save a lot of money

I wish everyone took solana

Same thing is happening to me, converting crypto into other crypto or USDC or sending it is $60 for $200 worth of currency

this is ridiculous

Im work as a defi analyst and coinbase is the absolute worse exchange platform fr people to use. If your in USA just use bictoin in cash app or crypto.com coinbase will lock up ur funds for months sometimes. I always advise my clients to never use coinbase.

Use houdini swap 0fees or simplswap to bridge/convert your btc to another crypto if your using cash app. If you have phantom wallet you can probably purchase any crypto from fiat directly in the wallet. Avoid central exchanges as much as possible if you want to save money and not get your funds locked

So far I guess i have been lucky. Using coinbase since 2017. Don't like dealing in bitcoin for transactions. Those fees can be madness

Bitcoin ATMs are also pricey but convenient and there are 2 in my area. One time for a $400 purchase I deposited directly to a wallet owned by the merchant paid like $30 in fees at the ATM.
