clen causing false positives in UAs

I'm on probation and have regular UAs because of it. I know that clenbuterol has chemical backbone similar to ephedrine which is similar to meth and can cause false positive results for UAs. Has anybody ever heard of anyone having similar results when taking clen? I think its structural differences are great enough that it shouldn't be a problem, but just curious if anyone knew of anything.

Karch is correct. I also work in this area of interest and I can tell you that most PO's test are not looking for anything like this anyways unless your original charge had something to do with this. What I have seen happen is ephedrine set off the Amphetamine Panel on a test. This happened more in years past with cheap dip stick tests. Number 1, I believe they changed the cut off levels several years ago so they would not get the Fasle Positive readings as often, 2, you could always say you took some allergy meds with psuedoephredrine as long as it was a one time thing. i'm not allowed to take PSE or ephedrine without permission...i'm on pretty strict probation because of the career i'm in. but they have no reason to check for clen or any sort of PEs so I think i'll be ok. much thanks for the info.
