can’t stay asleep

I never had sleep issues until I got shredded. Then nothing helped. Sort of massive calories/carbs.
My theory is it has more to do with increased dopaminergic tone, nervous system constantly being strained, and parasympathetic nervous system suppression. At least it was the case for me, but not sure how well that generalizes to other people.

I let the doctors handle my sleep and I will have a sinus surgery in 2026 to fix my messed up nasal passages, I've done two sleep studies that confirmed that I have OSA but the ENT doctor suggested I get this type surgery where they basically shave your septum and turbinate reduction, to open up my airways

now ive read this thread through.

very simple question i have not seen. have you spoken with your doctor? its his job to help you, could probably get u right in no time compared to all of the stuff you've done

you've tried everything under the moon and still cant sleep let him use his license to run some premium tests for you we cant provide you
My doc is so damn stingy. Actively working on getting sleep meds though, trying Mirtazapine when I get my India pharma order.

All doctors are cunts that overload appointments by design and then offload the time debt to patients and/or use speciality monopolies to prevent patients from shopping around. Never met a doctor I liked. Just make PAs the doctors, they’re a little more grounded at least.

Couldn’t have said it better myself lmao.
just tell him you havent slept in 3 days. that will get him run tests.

either he does or you have a solid case against him
Sounds like a good method haha, I’ll call my doc and say that tomorrow. Genuinely tired of being tired…

Can't you get shit prescribed by phone? I've done it before and they send you a digital script. Cost like $30
Not with my provider to my knowledge? I’ve heard things about Amazon pharmacy and being able to do that. I don’t have the best insurance either (low income unfortunately, as embarrassing as it is to admit it)

Always check for OSA (cpap makes bodybuiders live long and much better)
Exclusive nose breathing is a must , i use a nasal dilator/nose vents everyday for years , very useful.
It's much better to combine supplements than adding drugs. There are many plant extracts that work very well .
I'm a lifetime insomniac.
I'm on Trazodone 50 (only drug) + transdermal magnesium + melatonin drops + 1 or 2 of these extracts (cycling): passion flower or lemon balm or chamoumille or mulungu or valeriane.
OSA=OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA

You should have made that clear most people have no idea what you meant.

Doctors have zero liability for anything they do or don't do, things that they overlook. They are above the law and me personally I don't trust the majority of them. They are also largely lazy and reluctant to do their fucking job.
Its mainly when you are using insurance that Drs cant really do shit. They are at the will of the insurance companies policies and guidance. If they dont follow the recommended steps/treatments in the correct order, the insurance wont reimburse them. When they try to pass that crazy $2k bill to the patient its definitely not getting paid so the clinic loses money. Organization gets angry, seek new Dr who can follow rules better and old dr is fired. Rinse repeat until they find a fossil of a dr that can stick to the script and stay there till retired.

Private practice is what healthcare should really feel like. Doctors are excited because they actually get to treat patients how they think would serve them best, instead of going by what the insurance will cover. They can use treatments and meds that are trapped in legal process for insurance to cover but have been approved or have off-label uses Honestly if I could afford everything private, I would gladly make that investment in myself instead of paying one of these ridiculous insurance premiums all year. Private care feels a lot more preventative while insurance care is simply reactive.

If you have to stick with insurance (like me) I recommend using an university-affiliated medical center. They constantly have the best drs in rotations training fellow residents, the newest treatments/equipment and they are ontop of the latest research. Ontop of that, the younger doctors still have that fire burning inside them that most of the older doc's have had extinguished by the business side of healthcare and insurance companies.

I did the experiment with blood glucose and overnight hypoglycemic incidents, I was going hypo in the middle of the night, so I started eating a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of 2% fair life milk before bed and that kept my blood glucose levels steady throughout the night. All this was tracked using a CGM.
Do you take gh? If so do you dose at night around that last meal?
I've been struggling with gh timing for a while because it messes up my sleep when I take it at night. If I take it in the AM then I'm groggy all day and feel like I can't eat for a few hours post dose.
