That's just plain untrue. Why don't you read the nutrition facts on the back of the bottle. If I remember right, there's 115-130 cals/beer. It's barely higher than a light beer. Don't fall for wive's tales, my friend.

thats a figure of speech.or should i say for entertament purposes only.

maxx

Anyone know what Natural ice is? All i know is that stuff will give you the worst head ache ever - thats stuff is straight ghetto alcoholic beer...

Whats kind of funny is that most Canadian beer has LESS alchohol than American beer! LMAO!! Poor suckers up north. They all claim 8 or 10% alc, but most are about the same as American beers at 3 or 4%.

bob? where in canada did you ever see 3-4% beer? surely not in nova scotia? I've never seen %3 beer in my life. and 4% only in light beer, 5.5% is the standard here pretty much.

Close enough. Pretty much everyone Ive ever talked to (and I used to play hockey up there), was always saying how their beer was way stronger than American beer, blah blah blah. "OUrs is 7-8%, yours tastes like piss (which I might agree with)" Ok, so 3-4% was low. Pretty much everything else was dead even between the two countries. We can all pick out one or two beers that is way outside the norm, like Samuel Adams Double Bock which is around 18%, or the new Triple Bock which is 25%.

don't forget dogfish head, that shits 30 some odd percent.

i prefer michelob amber bock, wild goose oatmeal stout, guiness draught, and any other beer i can't see through.

Im with you ratmonkey, if you can see through it, its not beer. Except for Boddingtons, but I consider that to be a light-colored Guinness.

bob, are you serious? is that sam adams that high in content?

Yeah, read about it on one of my recent Delta flights. IIRC, they said it was the highest % alcohol beer in the US (world?). Oops, just looked it up, the Triple Bock is 17.5% by volume. Double Bock is 8.5%. Sam Adam's Millennium is 20%. I've gotta head to work (for a change), but Ill see if I can find that super-duper brew that was featured in the article.
