That's a door that is much harder to shut than people realize. And as a fiscal conservative a non vote for the Republican ticket is just as bad as a Biden vote. Close, but not quite the same rhetoric. I'd actually like to hear some of the logic @Big_paul has going on that leads him to believe that a leftist ticket is the way to go. Or at the very least why undermining the conservative ticket by not voting is a prudent stance. As always, open dialogue is welcome with open arms but bring reason and facts. Leave the emotion out of it.

I have a feeling that we will have a record for voter turnout this year. Hard to say if that's good or bad. The dems have done a good job at one thing, making trump the scapegoat for every fucking problem in the world. Too many entitled do nothings are leaning blue and that doesn't bode well for our future.
I like the idea that liberals and conservatives are largely grounded in reality. The far right and far left are off the reservation, and leading weak minded jagoffs down a path that has been traveled before but never even remotely successfully.

I don't get the extremism. I don't get the entitlement. Why in the fuck would anything be free? Nothing has been free since agriculture was invented and we started stockpiling goods. Nothing free it's worth having and it'll never be enough. I'm sick to death of these fucking crybabies.
It is all falling apart because of the dismissive/flippant attitude regarding the Christian/judeo family structure. It's insane how little society can accomplish without the basic fundamentals of this system. Tearing down this fundamental hierarchy has never worked once in thousands of years. This is what you get when you destroy and/or ignore history. It's like building a house without screws and nails.

I'm an unmarried man, most likely that won't change. But I agree wholeheartedly that family structure is very important. Learning to be a man without instruction is one of the hardest things a person can do. It's easy to identify these problems, not so easy to fix.

Married, unmarried... Not a defining factor ime. It's all about you as a person and how you live your life. One of the basis ideas of that structure is that you're accountable for your own actions. You can't blame society for your misdeeds. It's funny how some people get into the realm of accountability and love it while others cry foul and want to ruin it for everyone. Looking in the mirror with honest eyes isn't something everyone can do apparently
If it was really only a matter of conservative versus liberal. There was once a time when people defended ideological principles and behaved predictably. No more.
I've been amazed at how quickly people abandoned their so-called cherished principles and have just become team players only interested in winning. They will defend anything for the goal of winning.
I really like your approach. Dialogue is important. Your willingness to seek this out is great. Even better to encourage others to do the same. Kudos.

I find it deeply troubling that people are now picking leaders! This as opposed to picking representatives to carry out the will of the people. As a society people are willing to follow as opposed to demanding accountability! This goes against our progression as a society. I think the root cause of this is a lack of responsibility and self examination. As a people we have become too mentally lazy to think for ourselves, as well as educate ourselves. The easy path is to have people make decisions for us, the much more difficult yet more fulfilling path is to hold first our selves to account and only then other's such as our representatives.
Only with dialogue amongst the people can we stop this partisan bullshit and get back to work creating a place that provides the opportunity for growth.
These bastards work for us!
Until that happens these morally bankrupt cunts in power will continue to step all over us.

None really. Anyone who thinks the debt will be paid off is living in a fairytale world. Anyone thinking anyone in politics is going to make a change to the monetary policy of America is living in that same world.
I don't think for one second the conservative base has any option that doesn't directly remove them from being conservative other than voting against the hard leftist ideology. Imo that means a direct vote for Trump.
If the right simply didn't vote because they did not want Trump in office the election will be handed to Biden. Obviously very counter productive. Essentially I put that in the same bucket as a vote for Biden. If Trump gets the win there are at the very least four more years of no leftist agenda pillaging the country.
Biden scares me. He's a puppet. Very malleable and most likely teetering on dementia. Not a good idea to make a guy like that grab the wheel and steer, imo.
It's funny. If you look at the term classical liberalism and compare it to fiscal conservative they are very close to the same thing. I'd vote democratic if they could find a quality candidate but they can't shake the stink they created back when fragmented away from liberalism.
Regarding our economic outlook as a country.. lol... I'll be retired when this starts to smooth out fiscally. We had some debt prior to covid, we've doubled down in the past six months. On the plus side the rest of the planet has been knocked down a peg or two so we can all climb back together
