I know a few competitive bodybuilders who grew up with eating disorders and part of that psychology got them into competing. Guess why they got stage shredded and then moon face fat in the off season. This is friendly advice that will save you a lot of grief. Obviously many of us with histories of eating / substance / addiction challenges find our way into PEDs and extremely strict dieting as a form of sublimation, but that really needs to be buttoned up before you start using any more compounds. Eating disorders are the most deadly (for real) psychiatric conditions that exist. Not saying that's the direction OP is heading by any means, but mix an untreated / not in remission eating disorder with a bunch of compounds that impact blood sugar, satiety, dopamine / reward pathways, etc. and you've got an H bomb.
The binge eating, body image issues, and going from one extreme diet to another opposite is textbook telltale signs.
One who showed me his ability to eat over 2lbs of candy, a bag of potato chips and a pizza the night before the show admitted it to me before I finished my sentence. When he sorted those issues out he came at peace with himself and actually did much better in competitions.
