Bicep Pain During Bench

Benched today with no pain and a pr. No big deal.

Congrats on the PR

I had similar bicep pain actually last year.

I was working biceps too close to DL and it was fucking me up
Turns out repping 135 on straight bar is a bad idea before a DL session lol.

I've totally stopped training biceps since then
Zero pain,
TBH, I dont care about biceps anyways lol

Thanks! Didn't really do anything differently besides avoiding pull ups for a minute. Seemed to do the trick.

Biceps are overrated. LMFAO:D:D:D

I was actually considering that. What's your preference In place of pull ups?
High pulley face pulls maybe. I can do lat pull downs fine but pull ups hurt like hell. I like to deadlift or rack pull as my power movement on back day. Then accessories are Meadows Rows, lying incline bench dumbbell rows. Banded dumbbell pullovers are an awesome excercises I’ve discovered recently also.

I am missing a bicep on my left arm but only excercise that bothers my arm is pull ups. Just my experience.

Cool thanks! I'll have to check out meadows rows, never heard of them. Right now pendlay is my main rowing exercise.

@Blange89

Feeling out the band placement is kinda personal but I just wrap it around my squat rack.
Same kinda thing goes with that Meadows Row. Move your feet further behind your grip to hit high lats. In front more for lower lats. Google Meadows three favorite back movements. Nice short video about it. Killer kettle bell row that looks cool also but I don’t have any so haven’t tried that movement yet.

I loop it at the bottom of the DB rack. If I have a partner with me I just have them loop it on their leg and step back until there is tension. Definitely my favorite lat exercise.

Glad your pain free. I get tennis elbow bad from low bar squats and gripping the bar too tight. Ice massage always helps me.

Do chins bother the bicep? Do you squat low bar?

Using specialty bars for squats has help my bicep and shoulder pain a lot
Haven't done chins in a while so not sure, but I do low bar squat.

I've always interested in a ssb.
