Best weight gainer powder?

Dont waste your money on "weight gain" powders. If you really want to make your own at home that comes out to the same nutrition breakdown, heres a recipe...

1 five-pound bag granulated sugar
1/4 cup powdered flavoring of your choice
1 cup protein powder.

Each serving should be about 250g sugar, 10g protein and .5g fat. That is pretty darn close to the majority of what you can buy in the store.

If you want to pack in the calories, drink skim milk.

Lol that was funny

There are some very good protein drinks out there that make good replacement meals when trying to take in enough calories. Of course you want to try and stay away from shit like mega mass which is nothing but empty calories which will bloat you big time. Common sense will tell you that.

Now N Large 2 isn't exactly loaded with calories but a couple a day goes along way towards me reaching my caloric intake per day.

Btw, I've gone the milk route, that kept me more bloated than anything.

Prolab N-Large 2 is an extremely good weight gainer. It is what I use and recommend. 89g Carbs and 52g Protein - that is a very low Carb to Protein ratio = you will put on quality pounds and not be a total fatass. Protein source is outstanding - Ion Exchange Whey. You can buy it for only $28.99 for 10lbs if you look around.

thats just what i was thinking when I saw the post. Best weight gainer for me is good ol USDA beef... Eat more steak, tuna, chicken, turkey, ect. You just as well mix sugar with your protein shake and throw in a multivitamin than buy most of these meal replacements...

Weight Gainer

Been awhile since I used any weight gainer, I'd be happy to lose a little. When I did use it I found Cytosport "Cytogainer" quite good. One (1) serving is 610 calories, 54g protein, 84g carbs, 3.5g fat. N2Large is good, just too much sugar in it for me. The Cytogainer has only 5g sugar. Check it out!

dude

probably the best is "weight gainer 2200" GNC product....even though i work there, its probably the best, ecspecially for taste, that or "Muscle Milk" but anywho, the nlarge2 taste like ass, 52g of protein though, its all an aquired taste, no worries w/ the flavour, just drink the shit and forget about it....Adieu

p.s....the 2200 obviously has 2200 calories, and 50g of protein....cant go wrong if you drank and ate 7 to 8k calories a day, and a minimum of 200+ grams of protein....Adieu

I just order CFM from proteincustomizer.com; If you want a meal replacement just order some dextrose or maltodextrin and add it to the protein (I also use this for post work-out). For breakfast I add oatmeal to my protein. If you want to slow absorption just add flax oil to it.

You guys need to try Cytosport's Cytogainer. You can't beat the price and ingredients. 56g protein, 84carbs, 5g sugar,3g creatine, 2g glutamine and the taste is friggin awesome.

Youre joking, right?? You really cant be serious with that statement. 2200 calories with 50g protein. Wohoo, thats a fucking nutritional bargain.

Lets see 2200 calories minus 200 from protein leaves 2000 calories, 95% of which are sugar, so that means there are 475 grams (1900 calories) of sugar in each serving.

BTW, this comes out to about the same nutritional value as my "weigh gainer" in one of my previous posts in this thread.

That's some fucked up nutrition right there...
Nobody would want to eat that much sugar, even though we all want to gain mass, this is definitely not the right way.

Just eat right, eat much, and eat real food. The only supplements I use is protein powder and creatine, and it works fine for me. I' m gaining a lot of weight these weeks, and I try to avoid sugar as much as I can.
