"Is there any real reason to go above 1% BA in an oil-based solution?
My thinking is that it might make sense for a long-term multi-dose vial (e.g., something you'll be using daily/every few days for months), because of multiple punctures over time + higher risk of accidental contamination or user error as the months go by.
From what I've read, BA is a worse co-solvent than BB, so bumping it up purely for solubility doesn't make much sense.
Also, in solutions with lots of punctures and extended use time, does >1% BA theoretically offer extra bacteriostatic protection? Or is the benefit minimal/flat after ~1–1.2% in an oil matrix?
Do any of you notice noticeable PIP (post-injection pain) at 1.5–2% BA levels? Am I missing something important here?

2% has been fine to me. Never really tried more than that in my recipes.

People say the higher the %, the more chance of pip. Mix in 5% with some oil and inject it and see how you feel before using it in you recipe.

For me, BA PIP starts around 10%.

2% BA makes the oil a bit thinner, and if you dilute it at some point with different gear, BA will stay far above the .9% recommended. plus, extra inhibition of bacterial growth is muy bueno.

Also, its great for esterless compounds (TNE, Proviron, TrNE, etc)

So 2% BA is considered pipless for most people? I will try for myself but i want to have an idea for the general population so opionions are gold.Thanks for answering.

Most pharma stuff is .9% as i remember. 1% should work well enough but i tend to use 2% to be safe in my IM gear. I don't like to use to much BA as it's job is to kill off living things. So tissue damage can happen with to much.
