anyone use function health for bloodwork?

Function health has a yearly fee of $365 for two blood panels. They are very extensive as far as what is tested. Seems like a great deal for 2 bloodworks. Has anyone gone that route? Is there something I am missing before I sign up?

1. it's not as extensive as you think. They just separate everything out line by line... and a lot of the things they list are 'add-on's".

2. They don't test for a lot of the things you would need to test for if you start using test, hgh or other anabolics

3. If you do start using test, hgh or other anabolics......you are going to need testing way more than twice a year

Use Goodlabs dude

Someone here created a custom panel with them

Or, just get the individual tests that you need when you need them

Make sure to sign up using the link the person included in the topic I linked. It will get you 20% off your first order

My husband uses Function and fills in anything extra with Goodlabs. The last time he priced it out, it was worth it.

I use it for myself, had the best pricing for some autoimmune testing. There’s usually a discount if you join using a referral link.

I thought I looked through the list pretty well and didn't see anything that was missing. What are the labs that are missing?

That was my plan. I wanted to test zinc and copper. The add-on prices at function are insane!

I was already planning a supplemental blood test for a few things. Things like copper and zinc. I will add the few things that are missing as well. Doesn't look like it will cost much for that. Gets me closer to break even though. Might not be worth the extra trouble to save just a little though.

I did Function as a way to test for absolutely everything on my first baseline bloodwork with a ton of the add-ons.

But I cannot recommend it for any consistent follow up work. There are a lot of tests you can't get without selecting an entire overpriced package.

For example, for igf-1 you have to buy a package of useless tests for like $225 instead of just the individual test that should be like ~$30.

I went with Dr. Says since Labcorp was closer anyways.

Individual tests are not great prices once you have a membership. They also don't advertise how much the additional packages cost until you are already a member.

Since I still have my membership, here is basically everything relevant that they offer. You can see it's not worth, and bundle purchase requirement makes it a pretty bad option for anyone wanting to check specific markers.

Their app is pretty slick tho
