anyone had this happen when injecting?

I was doing a bi shot, and the syringe was almost full. I had it in my bi and i was pulling back on the plunger to make sure i wasn't in a vein and i pulled the whole plunger out of the syringe and it was just sitting there poking out of my bicep. It startled me for a second, then i just shoved it back into the syringe and shot it. There was a large space of air but i stopped putting pressure when i saw the juice was already in.

It scared the shit out of me for a second because it was only my second bi shot and i was a little nervous.

I have had it happen while filling up the syringe, thankfully never while injecting. I always make sure to tighten the needle b4 injection. So did you lose all of the juice?

no, the needle stayed attatched to the syringe, it was just the plunger that came out of the back of the syringe, the rest was still in my arm. so i had a syringe full of juice poking out of my bicep, and in my other hand i had the plunger that you push on. the whole fucking thing came out of the back when i pulled to aspirate but the juice and everythingelse stayed stuck in my arm. i just shoved it in the back of the syringe and pushed it in, lol.

Never had that happen, but it would probably give me the chills!

The Terumo's I use have a stop at the back of the syringe. You have to pull extra hard to get the plunger beyond the stop so I can't really imagine doing what you described with the syringes I use.

damn man,how much are you shooting in your bi's?you said "almost full"was that a 3ml?putting that much in my bi would scare me enough.dont pull so damn hard, and just barely pull it back.

I have the same question.

LOL..i did the same thing some years back. Just not paying attention and pulled the plunger right out during a quad injection. It is kind of hard pullig it all the way out. I did what you did and just put it back in and finishted the injection with some air in it. No biggy. That air pocket paranoia is it's not that bad. I spoke with several doctors and and all confirmed that the air desipates into the muscle with no harm. Its the vien you have to worry about. Even so you have to inject a rather large space of air before that desipates as well.

was this a 1cc insulin barrel? please say yes because if your shooting 3cc's into your bicep then you have other issues then just pulling the plunger out of a barrel.

It was a 1cc syringe. I asked for 5/8'' 25g at the pharmacy and didn't even look at them until i got home, it looks like a slin pin with a regular needle on the end. I had it filled up to 1ml, i did my shot with a 3cc today so the plunger wouldn't come out again.

i use the exact same pins for anything upper body. what are you putting in your bi's? my are swolen probably 2 inches from suspension. i feel huuuuuge. niko

im putting 1cc QV prop in them, i have no pain and they aren't swelling. i was hoping they would but i guess not.
