Any tech-privacy-computer experts on here?

Would two different browsers on the same computer give you two different fingerprints? So say you use your real IP on Chrome and then turn on VPN before you open up Firefox. Would that be *almost* as good as using two different computers?
Your option will not work, it will not be two different sessions with their own sets of cookies, ip and so on.

In theory, it might probably work if he disconnected, cleared history and cache, rebooted and logged in from new IP with cloak/vpn and wasn't using linked accounts on same comp???

Yes or No???

I think tracking issues would only arise if he was running 2 browsers and 2 IPs at the same time on same comp and switching without shutting down connections ???

I suppose it depends how far you wanna go with not been recognised on a website and how important that website is to you. I started this topic for very real business reasons and nothing to do with steroids or spoofing/spamming bbing forums but the 2 things are interlinked and that's why I posted here first ;)

I think it could work, at least that's what I was advised too.
This topic is relevant every year, since it is no secret to anyone that the state surrounds us with more and more supervision and control. I would call it smooth work towards total control.

So the ISP won't automatically know thay you are using TOR thanks to the bridge, however if there was ever any level of investigation it would be quite easy for them to figure out what you're doing and trace it back to you.

Lots of people use protonmail without encrypting anything. In fact most people who buy steroids often don't even use PGP encryption for their own fucking address that they want the shit sent to. The only way to encrypt a message is using ptoron to Proton or tuta to tuta and you have to somehow agree on an encryption password ahead of time via some other platform so it isn't sitting in a past email in clear text, then agree to use that going forward and trust the vendor to remember.

Much better to just use PGP encryption with a PGP utility command line or application to encrypt any personal info with zero exceptions. If a vendor won't provide a PGP key I will absolutely never do business with them. Never. And if they do stupid shit like send a postal tracking number in clear text then they should quit being a vendor now and go work at fucking McDonald's or some shit.
Hi! The reason for my hiatus is because of the giant rabbit hole you led me to. My wife and kids started to worry so it's time to come up to the surface for a bit :D. I have now set up 1password with over hundred logins, all with new and much more secure passwords. I have reviewed and manually changed my privacy settings on a lot of apps and sites (what a bunch of cunts). I have also set up Proton Unlimited VPN, with kill switch always on. Next step will probably be to transfer from using of mainstream browsers to something more privacy friendly and make a habit of always clearing logs, history and cookies. Do you have a personal favorite browser? Duckduckgo for windows is only available with browsers extentions for Chrome, Edge, etc. That can't be good? Thoughts on Brave?

Next I will need to fully understand and learn how to utilize PGP. I see Kleopatra is recommended a lot. If you have links to good resources on how to use that, or something similar, that would be a huge help. I'm also guessing there are many videos on YouTube on this particular topic.

If I ever need to do potentially risky purchases on DNMs, I will get a burner laptop with tails and with a burner vpn with no kyc and paid for by bitcoin (that I have exchanged to monero and back to bitcoin, using cake wallet). Proton VPN lets you do this.

I have come to realize that privacy is a matter of principle for me and I will never give up my web anonymity, even if that makes me a criminal in the eyes of government. Fuck those guys making it harder and harder to stay anonymous.

Lastly, a big thanks to you @MFAAS. I had it in the back of my head for a very long time to do something about this, and when luckily stumbled over your post I finally got the input and motivation to finally act. The internet can be an incredible place sometimes.

I'm so glad that I was able to help!

But yeah it isn't available for others. A browser being built on chromium isnt necessarily bad. I like Epic Privacy Browser, just don't use their stupid search engine. When you open the home page just navigate to duckduckgo.com and use that instead. It is an extra click but whatever. I thought I recall seeing something about Brave not actually being as private as they want you to think.i would have to dig into it and dont have time now.

For a burner machine I would just use Epic or firefox and find a guide to tweak the settings for maximum privacy. Then use Tor when mecessary, personally IMO with a VPN from a network that is not your own, taking all the OPSEC precautions.

Kleopatra works well. I personally prefer GnuPG. But its a command line utility, no GUI.

Keep in mind many vendors accept XMR directly. Sometime s you need to ask, but I think most of the DNMs have the option to use XMR, I think some even enforce it. Idk though I don't give on them.

My personal working combination of Epic Privacy Browser and VPN. Separately, I set the browser to the greatest anonymity for my tasks.

Some great new replies in this thread. Sadly, I don't understand most of what is being said now coz my head is already still spinning from going to back to firefox after a few years on chrome and now using 2 devices with VPN on a burner device and trying to hide my IP.

To add further complexity to what I'm doing......I now have to also use 3 different mobile phones and 3 different email addresses and 3 different postal addresses and 3 different driving licences/passports.

The past week has been very stressful getting all this set up

I need a 99% secure VPN or anonymizer that hides my IP address from website owners but this is a serious business question and not bullshit chatter about spammers/trolls on a bbing website.

It needs to be chrome compatible.
Any help ???

I think I know what your doing but I’m not 100% certain.

I do crypto for a living… DM me

First of all…. If you want privacy get rid of chrome.

Use TOR, Brave or Opera.

If your serious I’d also use a VM.. like Kali Linux.

Chrome lol. Crazy man.

I understand you, since I also had to restructure all the work over the past year. And for this, to comprehend new information. Sometimes there is simply no time for it or just laziness. But it wasn't easy.

Howd u get 3 different passports my man? I habe a friend in may hee co that said he can get me one with enough money for bribes, but im worried ill get ripped off

I was lucky enough to have 2 close friends who let me use their passports and helped with what I was trying to do. All the passports are real and the 3rd one is my own.

I can't say much more than that.

You got good friends.

These 2 people are really special friends and we've got a lot of personal history over the years and I was very lucky that they agreed to help me with some financial struggles I'm having this year.

I haven't actually got any friends left anymore at my age coz everyone grew up, got careers, moved away, started their own families etc.

Everyone I know in the real world now is just an acquaintance and none of them give 2 fucks about me or my problems. I'd never ask any of them for help...

You look like agent 007 from British intelligence :)

I literally had to turn into someone like that and go covert just to get things set up and it's a serious load of hassle now tbh but hopefully the extra effort pays off in the next few months and my finances start to stabilise again without forcing me into illegal "real world" activities.

The amout of admin/clerical I do now and time spent online everyday running each copycat business has obviously tripled ....and the worst thing about it is it's really mundane and frustrating work.

Imagine for example you were a bricklayer and your job was to build 1 wall everyday that took you 5 hours, but your boss always knocked down the first 2 walls you built everyday and it was always the 3rd time you built that exact same wall when he would finally say you'd done a good and could finish work/go home. That's basically what I'm doing everyday now :mad:

Yes, there are serious problems, when such things happen, it is very difficult to rebuild everything without consequences. I wish you all the same as quickly as possible to solve the problems. What you describe, I do not want to experience this personally.
