Another 'Old' lurker joins

Figured it's about time to register and actually make a post. I've lurked here and a couple other (some now defunct) forums for some time and as I'm finally getting on the much needed TRT bandwagon with hopes of expanding that further once I'm settled, I figured I should introduce myself. This place, and many of you, have been great source of info and I'd like to be able to contribute where I can, mostly just to show my appreciation for access to so much quality content.

I recently had bloodwork done, and found that my E2 is below the reference range, where the total T is well within, albeit on the low side. My biggest issues are chronic (sometimes severe) joint pain as well as sleep and mood issues, consistent with a lack of estrogen. I've had trouble making progress in the gym for years due to the joint issues, and am really hoping to correct that. (kicking around the idea of adding some deca to the TRT for joints eventually) I'm just under 50 years old for reference.

Anyways, thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and hopefully contribute where I can.

Im quit a bit older than you (61) and found low dose deca (60mg week) helped joints quite a bit...got a real crap knee that feels much better with deca. Even my doc recommended it when I talked to him about it. Its good to have a cool doc that knows what is talking about and doesnt go berserk when you say steroid.

I don't want to turn this post into an advice thread or anything, but just wanted to add that I have a DEXA scan scheduled tomorrow and am interested to see how my bone density is given I don't know how long my E2 has been in the gutter.

That’s above my pay grade. How low was it? I’m mid 40s test was 520 and e2 19. I had the low e symptoms too but not bad enough to follow up.

Isnt normal between 10-60 for estrogen and 15-40 for estrodiol?
Would have to check, not sure off hand. The scale on the testing that I had put me right on the cusp. There is also clinically low and subjectively low. Some claim the sweet spot test to e2 is 20:1. All different ways of looking at it.

Regardless 6.9 is clinically low and testing wouldn’t hurt.

I guess Ive been lucky....I always get high on trt and end up running armidex for a bit. Only symptom I get when its high is cant nut and I cry when Old Yelle die...and Bambis mom.
