Advice to get money to be independent?

Perhaps try "introvert" instead of "loner" bro.
Some members here seem to be perceiving the word "loner" as something weird/strange.

Introverts (aka loners in this discussion) are actually far more powerful and in control of their own lives and surroundings than any extrovert could ever be .

You know it, and so do I
;)
Yes the word introvert doesn't really apply though because it suggests someone that is anti-social or socially awkward.

That's not the case for many loners. It's just that they direct their energy with a narrow focus.

I really do think it's an energy thing.

Take the Dude on The Big Leborwski. He had a small group of friends that didn't expect much of anything from him. He just floated through life, the extrovert would call him a lazy bum, the extrovert wants mankind to bang and clang on pots and pans and make lots of noise for the whole world to hear. However the Dude didn't do that, whatever came his way or didn't he was to abide. Now he did get insulted and pissed when people would ask him "what he does" because that's not important, he's here to show you how to live life differently.

That’s why I had to laugh when he said his big group of friends were all loners. That’s like total oxymoron.
Not a big group of friends. I would say a dozen close friends that were interested in the same things.

It's just a totally different scene back in the 80's when you had to be face to face with people. You did have actual friends you hung out with everyday as no one was gonna sit around and do nothing. We were still sticking our fingers in holes for rotary dial phones.

Today loner could mean someone on their computer wearing a diaper not seeing anyone for years.

So the times have changes.

I tried to help and support you bro but the above comment is total bullshit and so very very wrong.

I'm out LOL.
You've deffo lost the plot..

Indeed.

Loners don't have many (if any) friends.

Living in the woods and shagging his sister and mother have clearly warped this guys mind, sadly.

LMFAO!!! Damn, you went from “start your own forum and I’ll follow you!” To “this guy shags his mom and sister.”

Such is life ;)
First impression illusions bro? ROFL
I’ve never come across a more jaded individual than him. And because he has maintained this persona for some time here in many different handles, I’m certain he truly is like that IRL.

He's totally mind-blown for sure!
I'm an independent free thinker with some very obscure and hard to understand viewpoints but I'm still in tune with reality and partly "normal" ;)

Loners have a different energy level.

You have your extroverts that society champions, the outgoing, marketing, networking social butterfly types. That is what the United States loves, because America is all about advertising and basically lying through their teeth. They hand you a bag of shit with a great big grin and some sexy words and look at you strange if you point out that it's just a bag of shit.

Then there are the loners. Totally different energy level. I will not waste my energy on networking(I couldn't do it even if I tried), I won't sell myself. I won't sit around and feed you lies in order to get you to do something. I'm more likely to warn you about problems and look on the negative side, not because we are defeatists, but because we want to consider the negative first and see if those problems can be avoided and I prefer to be totally honest and up front that most things in life are just a big bag of dog shit.

I was a loner for the first 40 years of my life. All my friends were loners too. Terrible strategy. Major red flag in Darwinian terms.

It’s very easy to defeat a loner, and loners often look and sound defeated.

You talk a lot about survival in the wild and all that, doing it alone is the worst way to go about it. You might make it, for a while. But you will never do very well and you will always be one bad day away from catastrophe.

Cooperation is the most powerful force in the universe. 2 men together can do the work of 3. The only thing more powerful than a cooperative equilibrium among men would be the discovery of perpetual motion.

Loners hate to cooperate because they are all about themselves. Cooperation is a win/win game and a lose/lose game. Loners can’t get past the lose/lose part, because they can’t stand to invest in anyone other than themselves.

Weather it’s marriage, or war, or famine or any other difficulty, loners get taken out first. Nobody gives a shit if there not around because they weren’t an asset to the group.

I live alone. I like living alone. I love my personal space. All my ducks in a row like I want them. I love silence. I love reading and thinking and just staring off into space for any reason or for no reason at all. I get it.

I’ve overcome that negative thought pattern though, and I’m grateful to be able to serve the needs of others so that I can afford my own space. And the more I invest in the relationships with the people around me, the better my life gets, and not just materially. I have much more peace, and joy, and hope than I ever did before.

You see people negatively and life negatively, but that is a reflection of who you are. That is not an accurate assessment of the people around you and life itself. You’ll find once you get to changing your attitude and your behavior, like magic, people are not so bad and life can be pretty awesome.

Your problem is you.

I help out other people all the time. It's because I'm not married with kids that people call me up to help out on a regular basis.

The issue is that I never and I mean never get any help back.

There's an endless line of people that will use you if you let them. I don't want to be a selfish prick, but damn if people won't have you working like a dog and on top of that you have to pay money out of your pocket to help them.

I spent 6 days moving a family friend, it cost me money and I busted my ass. That mother fucker didn't even pay me back when he had me buy a couple of pizzas.

A few days ago I spent the day helping a guy bust down 150 feet of privacy fencing and take all the boards off and haul them off. I did it and what did I get.....jack shit.

I say fuck this. They see a big strong guy with a truck and you get turned into a whore.

I do not really understand the viability of your point of view, but I admit that it is. And once you live, and as you say very successfully, then there are such stories of life. The main thing is that your rights do not infringe on the freedom of others. And what you have inside is your own business.

Our ancestors probably lived longer back 100 years ago then what you see today. Once you have water, food, shelter your biology will last as long as it was intended.

Today we've got 12 year olds that weigh 350lbs, farm raised on pesticides and antibiotics.. I'm reading endless obituaries of 25-40 y.o.'s every week. They're cashing out their chips, jumping off the cliff.

My ancestors that came to this country at least on my moms side from the early 1600's all lived into their early 80's and many of the women late 80's and early 90's. They were dirt farmers, poor, but physically stout.

As to what I have done. I've always considered my purpose in life to ask pointed questions at awkward times to piss people off, or just in general to crush dreams........that's what I do.

I'm the kind of guy upon hearing the announcement that a women is pregnant that tells her there's a good chance her baby might end up with a long list of birth defects.....I'm that kind of asswipe and I take pride in that.
That you @Sworder?

You probably thought Cherokee was awesome too. Oh wait, same clown lol.
Are you saying Cherokee is Sworder. Sworder was a man of the world, I imagined him as an aristocrat smoking cuban cigars sitting on a fine hand crafted leather chair surrounded by a large library of books.

I’m actually not 100% convinced they were one and the same. Cherokee was a formerly banned handle though, but he and Sworder actually seemed to have different personas.
