Accutane permanent cure?

thank brother... I took some snaps at the gym today and was looking at all the fading blemishes on my lower back and hoping to never see them again once this is over.

I think my back and shoulders have purged. Still waiting on the chest which is of course the worst place to have them because that's where all the bitches look first.
Get you a fancy turtleneck and a fanny pack, they won't notice a thing.

Awesome man! As of a few weeks ago I’m at the point of not a single active pimple on my face and happy to notice that week by week each spot becomes considerably less noticeable. Some of them are actually reaching the point that you can’t even tell anything was there in the first place.

It’s truly a great feeling.

Eff this shit my dudes. I must have spent too much time outside the last few days/not following through with consistent moisturizing. I’m dropping down to 30-40mg for at least the next week until I can stabilize this dryness a bit before jumping back up to 80mg.

I had the hands, face/nose dryness throughout, but now it’s there plus the elbows, forearms, ankles.

I’m not even entirely sure it’s dose related tbh. It’s seemed to affect different areas of the body at different times.

@Ghoul where art thou in my time of need brother?

Damn, best of luck my friend. I am currently pumping through my aquaphor right now, getting old quick. Did the corners of you mouth ever crack? Dealing with that right now and feel it pop open every time I eat

I feel you on this. FWIW I tried coming down to half the dose at the time for a week at one stage and got no relief. Tried 10 days later on and same story. You may need to run the lower dose longer to reduce the sides.

My sides are still worse on 80mg than 160mg for some reason and, like you, getting trouble spots more severely and seemingly in more places too.

Dropping down to 40gm after tomorrow and praying to the gods of hydration that some relief comes.

Sorry to hear you guys are having such a bitch of a time coming down. So far so good for me dropping down to 80 from 120. Patches on my hands and arms have gone away and my taint and undercarriage, while still cherry red, is less irritated lol.

Hope you guys get it sorted.

Quick question for anyone that may know. If you taper down from a high dose and ride that for a while, do you need to slowly titrate back up to the higher dose or can you just jump right back in the saddle?

My situation: I just tapered down to 80mg from 120 and I'll probably go down to 40 mg when I start my next cycle. When I go back up, can I just go right to 120 again since I've already been there or should I do 20 mg increments again to get back? Thanks.

From my experience, you can usually jump right back into a high dose irotretinoin. Slow increase in doses is largely done in a clinical setting to gauge if the medication will be safe for the patient. I havent heard much on sides getting worse after dropping fast but Ive seen a quite a few anecdotes about that. I'd say you can jump back into 80mg after that higher doses (eg. 100, 120mg) id maybe 'titrate' back up from 80 (so like 20mg increase over 2 weeks and do that twice. Just because there is an initial "shock" that your cells will go through, also ive read on an increased likelihood of mental sides when jumping into a higher dose.
