2 months off lifting, when to start a cycle?

Had to take a few months off for various reasons, went to the gym today and boy was it depressing how much strength you lose the older you get after time off. Anyway how long do people wait before running a cycle after a break from lifting? Straight into it?

I took off about 3 years but Im 62 now....if you are doing a legit trt protocol say 150 to 200mg weekly after 2 to 3 weeks of getting your body back into a lifting regimen you oughta be gtg.
If you have not been on trt during your off time and depending on your age i would suggest 4 to 6 weeks of working out before a blast.
Also be really careful about going heavy to quick. Higher reps lower weight and 4 to 5 second reps slow and controlled are gonna save your joints and tendons.
2 weeks in from returning to the gym i snapped my right distal bicep tendon...it was a case of too much to fast. Had my left reattached in 2018 but this one i decided to leave alone due to recovery time, the arm action affected by it and the condition of what we had to work with at the rupture.
So just be careful going back...injuries suck more worser when u get old. Lol
