Am I a Slow GH Responder?

First-time GH user here looking for some input from people with more experience with GH.
Background:

- My IGF-1 historically hovered around ~140 on prior tests.
- Most recent pre-GH test came back at 117.
- I started daily GH at 2 IU taken at night.
After 4 weeks of consistent dosing, my IGF-1 came back at 171

A few details:
- Bloodwork was taken late afternoon (~5pm).
- Last injection was the night before (~9pm).
- Diet/training have been consistent.

I was honestly hoping to see a bigger increase but understand everyone responds differently. I’m trying to figure out what the smartest next step is. Looking for input on the following:
  1. Is this kind of rise typical after only 4 weeks at 2 IU/daily?
  2. Would you hold the dose longer and retest, or consider increasing?
  3. I’ve been thinking about possibly doubling the dose and testing again in another 4 weeks — does that sound reasonable or too aggressive?
I appreciate any insight from people who’ve gone through similar protocols or have a good understanding of GH/IGF-1 response.

Your only taking 2 ius , how high did you expect it to be? You could try 3-4 ius and retest in 6 weeks , but titrate up to desired dose slowly to minimize side effects , but once you reach your target ius , hold for a "minimum" of 4-6 weeks, 6 is better to reach FULL saturation ime

Its a definite improvement, how do you feel?
I feel solid, its really hard to say if there is a drastic change in feeling but I seem to have a bit less fatigue and my elbow tennis seems to be improving.

I appreciate the advice I’ll try working up to 3 ius and retest after 6 weeks of being there. My Z score came back at 0.4. I heard a good target is 2.0 for performance while keeping longevity and health in mind. Thoughts?

My ultimate goal is optimizing my performance with longevity in mind. I would like to stay in a range that is consider safe but effective.

This was my first time taking GH, so I started at 2ius. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. Does this seem like a solid response?
That response could just be natural variation. IGF is one of those things you have to test repeatedly, over time, to look for a trend. 2 iu is a good starter dose, but I wouldn't expect a lot from that, at least not anytime soon.

Thank you for the insight. My last three IGF-1 levels prior to taking GH were 138, 140, and 117. About 6 months apart. Im going to try to titrate up to 3ius daily and see how I test.

depending on your age/genetics youre basically just replacing your own production with 2ius. Imo anything under 4ius is a waste unless you are 40+. Just titrate up the dose and youll notice the effects coming in.
