Thanks for elaborating! I understand now, lol
I'm very tempted to try it tonight and see what actual sleep feels like. I have the same exact issue of "rest with my eyes open" if you understand the analogy
Sorry about your mental health issues too, I've been through some but I can't imagine a broken engagement. Hope all is well with you, glad to see Lunesta fixed it for you.
Have you found yourself using it daily, and when you do use it, is it "gauraunteed" per se to keep you asleep and to get that good quality rest each time it's used? Appreciate your reply so much, it's refreshing to see such a detailed write up
Appreciate it brother. Yes I do use it nightly as prescribed by my Dr. Ill skip it every now and then, usually because Im out late. Id say its pretty consistent that I take the meds and get a good nights sleep. Even if I sleep the same amount of hours as I do when I dont take the meds, I noticed those few hours are of actual rest and still wake up better than not having taken it.
Updated my iphone and watch recently and it has a new sleep score tracker. Uses sleep duration, sleep interruptions and bedtime to generate your "score". Very Low, Low, Ok, High, and Very High.
My sleep scores have been High to Very High. 81-91 out of 100.
This is last nights sleep score.. interruption score was the worst ive seen so far.
Overall: 81 out of 100
Duration of sleep: 50 out of 50 points - 8hr 11mins
Bedtime: 28 out of 30 - 1hr 16min earlier than average.
Interruptions: 3 out of 20 - 5 wake ups, 1hr 19mins awake.
I suffer from neck pain and having zero wakeups just seems unrealistic. However, im sleeping on average 2 extra hours compared to previous years data and those hours are of actual rest. Since starting meds, my sleep has only continued to improve. Its funny I value my routine so much to stay consistent that Ive started disliking going out late and partying. It bums me out forreal lol
P.S maybe consider giving each med some time to actually take affect. Lunesta works quick, but your circadium rythm doesnt just snap back into place one night.
Mirtazipan's sleep inducing properties work quickly since its a histamine reaction, but its regulating of dopamine and norepinephrine take weeks like most anti-depression medications.
Also as a histamine reaction, your body does become accustomed to it and its sedative effects tend to wear off for ppl. The lower dosages are actually more sedative than larger doses. 3.75mg, 7mg and 15mg are the sleep dosages I saw recommended.
In my case, anti-histamines havent helped with sleep and just have a heavy hangover effect the following day. But your experience may vary
