You on a GLP on any type? If so anyone have a take on its limited studies on some if those on its impact on mineral absorption or am I just way off on that?

Preliminarily it l looked like reduced intake of minerals (bc reduced intake of everything), but I don't know if there are studies looking at the balance of specific minerals in people on GLP1s

@AllGoodThings hey brother if I remember correctly you made a post a while back saying you had a ton of Var but wouldn't be able to take it because of bad kidneys / kidneys issues.

Your kidneys produce EPO which is responsible for red blood cells production. How are your kidneys doing?

I had that all tested as well during this recent round of bloodwork, and my eGFR is up 4 points from my last test in July. Not a huge improvement, but enough that I think it's safe to rule it out as a contributing factor for now as I wasn't having these issues in July.

I'm pretty convinced it was due to my relatively severe adverse reaction to pitavastatin, along with dosing GHK-Cu too high for 2 months trying to heal a bicep tendon rupture.

Fuck this is great to know! Ive got some on the way… id hate it if i failed to make a connection if im taking the statin and ending up throwing a ton of aas at myself to get it up…

Perhaps the retra and pita and too much copper from the ghk… could also be lending a hand to this drop

I think these accounts from our members help demonstrate why AAS were largely abandoned for treatment of various forms of anemia (they don't work well enough).

Stuffs whacky for sure. No hscrp yet, but I see my pcp soon and I'll have her do some follow up testing and repeats for some of them.

Definitely weaker than normal by a significant amount, ~30% for some lifts, and no pump to speak of, despite more than sufficient anabolics, hydration, minerals, carbs, etc.. Knees have been shot for weeks, which I attribute to the statin use, which I've discontinued for 2 weeks now, but have seen it can take months to resolve.

@Defiant Pharma I apologize for not asking sooner, but I can take this conversation elsewhere of you prefer. Some sources appreciate the traffic and free bumps to the top and have conversations of all kinds going on in their threads, but I can also see some not wanting the clutter. Just let me know
My insurance covered infusions when my ferritin was that low. I couldn’t get the pcp or hematologist to order because they fucking suck, and ended up at a private med spa. It was the best thing I did, numbers went from 19 to 65 after the 3rd. I’ve been able to continue raising using minimally dosed oral since then.

I originally was at 7 and got to 19 in about a month using 2-3 capsules of Simply Heme a day for just two weeks. I had to stop because I thought I’d never shit again. lol It’s a convenient option since it doesn’t require any extra vit c for absorption, or have the same dietary interactions as non heme. The dr who did my infusions said his wife had the same problem and tolerated Feosol better. I switched to that and haven’t had any issues with constipation since.

Anyone who does intense training or endurance work is at risk of iron deficiency with or without anemia. I think this is where my deficiency came from since there wasn’t any other cause found.

For some weird reason I ended up with anemia after running a 1g EQ blast.

I plan to start injecting iron dextran, just waiting for my 1.5inch needles to arrive. Oral iron doesn't seem to work for me either. Iron infusion will not be covered by insurance (I don't think your HGB is low enough to qualify either) and even if it did it'll be very expensive. Few hundred an infusion and you'd need a couple..

I'll start with vet grade and if it works I'll source for human grade..
The posts have been deleted, but there were a couple men in The Iron Protocol group who used vet grade successfully. Would be interested to hear how it goes for you.

How much of it ended up being out of pocket post insurance?
It varied based on dose, but was all oop since I couldn’t get my drs to order it even with meeting the insurance deficiency guidelines. First one of 200mg was $300, 400mg was $500, both iron dextran. If I’d known that I could have done diy, I’d have gone that route after the first one. It was pricey, but I almost blacked out doing back squats once, and another time running on the treadmill. Realized then I was in bad shape. The stupid hematologist told me to quit exercising and keep taking the oral iron that wrecked my gut.

Conversations like these are why I enjoy this forum. Very interesting and insightful info on anemia, statins, blood work, even EQ potentially causing anemia. I have high RBC and HCT so I wonder if cycling pitavastatin could potentially help. I’ll test for tolerability and maybe switch out ezetimibe when running full blast

Yah I just learned a ton of shit over the last few pages , that was dope . Thanks to everyone who contributed. Making me double think my minorly wacky cbc and possibly contact my primary .

One of my DHB vials did come crashed, I know we have said about a mug warmer and sitting in hot water that sort of thing, which I did uncrash it. Now, if it keeps crashing in between it doesnt matter that I have to do the same process before each injection until I have a baby wipe warmer to keep it in? I never really had crashed gear before.

Once you get it back into solution, it should hold at least for a few weeks. I keep my house around 70 and it's been in solution for a while now since the last time I heated it up.

Good to know, I have it stored in a case Ill have to see how that one vial held up. Regardless, I have no issue warming it each time I just gotta get a mug warmer which would be useful for all the other compounds and making for easier pins anyway.

Hey Defiant, you got a paste bin link for what's in stock/price?
