What apps do you guys use if any to for anything related to our life style specifics. Tracking weights sets, which one is your fav. Do u also use any apps to track your food and supplements? Or are you using an old pen and paper?

I like Cronometer for tracking macros.

Everything else I log in my notes app. I’ve tried several of the apps for loggings lifts but I’m not a fan.

You mind me asking what specifixally didn't you like about them. Some gym tracking apps can record all your weights exercises prs and are usually very easy to use and free.

Looking up exercises was always clunky to me and I don’t like mathing while I’m hoisting. I’d rather write 2p35 for 2 plates and a 35 on each side.

Also I’m autistic I kinda have my own language for logging stuff. If I have some soup sandwich reps at the end of a set I’ll log the good reps and then put +3 or whatever for the shitty ones. If it’s a lighter squeeze focused set opposed to regular horsecockin I’ll write “pns” for pencil neck shit. Stuff like that.

I also do a lot of rest pause and none of the apps I tried were friendly towards that.

Hahaha fair enough. What about supps and meds. Do any of you guys use any aps for that. Also what other apps are you all using

For tracking food macros I use Lose It. I’ve tried a bunch of others, including MacroFactor which was pretty decent, and RP Diet Coach which I didn’t like at all, plus a few more. Then I caught a lifetime subscription deal for Lose It and stuck with it. It’s simple, minimal, and does everything I need.

For training apps, I went through a lot of them before finding what worked best. It came down to Hevy and Strong, both are great, but I decided to stay with Hevy. Honestly, the best approach is to just download both, try them out for a couple of weeks, and then decide which one feels right for you.

Do you use any apps to track Supplement ped's doses and timing? I'm very curious if something like this exists and is popular and i just never heard of it

I don’t know of any dedicated app made specifically for tracking PED doses and timing. Most people just use Excel or Google Sheets to build a simple table and log everything. It works well, but on a phone it can be a little inconvenient.

Another option is the Notion app, you can set it up however you want and easily record what you take and when.

That said, if you’re not a pro and just starting out, it’s probably not necessary to overcomplicate things. A food tracking app and a training app are usually more than enough to stay on top of everything.

Notes app. I have a different note for each workout day where I just add a line to my latest weight x reps. myfitnesspal for nutrition.

I use Cronometer for nutrition, a composition notebook for lifts, and Notion for supplements, oils, peptides.
Plan to do a trial where I replace my composition notebook for Notion for my lifts but we'll see.

I eat the same foods every day for consistency. If you're using tracking apps and constantly switching up meals, progress can be tough nutrition labels can legally be off by about ±20% in calories, so you'll never get perfect accuracy.

So you might think you're eating 3000 calories, but with the ±20% margin allowed on labels, it could actually be closer to 2400 or as high as 3600.

For my meal plans, I keep it simple with a Google Sheet to track. I do the same for cycle plans and progress pictures, Google Docs keeps everything in one place.

For nutrition I have used MyNetDiary for several years. I love it.

The free version has features that other apps charge for, specifically the ability to scan barcodes on food packages and import the nutrition data. I think fitness pal started charging for that last year.

You can also calculate your maintenance calories, decide if you want a surplus or deficit, shows you the total protein, carbs and fat you enter.

That app combined with food scale has been a fool proof way for me to control changes in my body mass.

Been using LoseIt since 2013. Currently on a logging streak over 410 days and counting. I also use MacroFactor because LoseIt doesn't allow for carb cycling plans. So I log in LoseIt and check macros in MF

I use fitbod to track workouts. I design and save custom workouts with the help of chatGPT. I have five workouts that I cycle through.

Every week I feed my weekly summaries from LoseIt and fitbod in to my ongoing conversation with ChatGPT. That way it's got all my data including measurements, weights, and then BF % from check-ins with my coach.

This approach is working well for me. Prepping for my first show later this year (Wellness) and ChatGPT helping me with workouts has been like having a second coach.

It can also critique posing photos although I take that with a huge grain of salt and rely on my posing coach for that. Details of prep I also work out with my coach.

I started using ChatGPT after reading in a Reddit thread that several girls dumped their coaches when they realized their plans were generated by ChatGPT and I have to say it does a pretty good job in this domain.

It's called a notebook. Dirtier and more raggedy, the better LOL
Yea i get it. My grand pa refuses to use cell phones and computers too.

Jk nothing beats a good ol wired spring Notebook but then you can loose it damage it and tracking or comparing side by side or even monotring progress is a night mare.

Thank you everyone for yoir contribution. I'm currently working on developing an app that does all this. I will also offer it for free to all Meso members once its done.

Would be very happy to hear what features would you like to have thats not offered in all those apps you mentioned. Or perhaps something that would make life easier

For example we have this one feature where you can log in all your supplements/injectables/orals/ancellaries - concentration, doses, reminders to reorder before you run out and reminders to take your supps through notifications. Of course we have all tracking workouts and nutrition features.

Any input is much appreciated.
