GCMS and HPLC -- any relationship?

For EO, even if it's the same stereoisomers?
So what is this then..(E)-9-Octadecenoic acid ethyl ester

Remember trans fats, like Crisco ? (partially hydrogenated vegetable oil)

The "E" version is the trans version of ethyl oleate so technically is called ethyl elaidate (so EE not EO lol)

Ethyl oleate would be written the same but start with a Z instead of an E

There are a few similar looking molecules in this report that probably contribute similar properties to the finished oil, so maybe "EO" was never really just "EO" all along, but rather a somewhat unrefined mixture of stuff that's kinda like EO

Area % in GCMS does not equal mass or volume % in the sample.

Two different compounds.

Cheers

Was I close ? xD

Excellent correlation though as we have shown above. Same for BA and BB.

So they are stereoisomers. One added to oil, other byproduct of GC temp? From carrier oil?

Thanks.

I'm just curious what oil it is now.
It looks like a mix of some sort, not entirely MCT.

Come to think of it, it was stupid to think any oils are 100% pure or identical batch-to-batch

Of course EO isn't 100% EO just like how every batch of GSO or MCT will differ slightly in fatty acid composition

Maybe the Miglyol oils come close since they're so highly refined, but probably still not 100%

Yes this is true. However based off the data we have, they are roughly the same, for both the domestic and china oils, just a variant in %

So i guess that it may have always been true that..the Chinese isn't using EO.

Except all of them except Q is using pure MCT.

Eh no..this has EO..

Looks like a mix of MCT & EO

Assuming (which I think correctly) EO is not one molecule but rather a blend of structurally similar molecules (probably the same with all oils)

Injecting trans fat doesn't sound..any bit good.

However I'm just puzzled why it shows up as Ethyl oleate in WWB but not in PUCA or SSA. The other components do look the same.

If we go off this, then SSA and PUCA are using MCT + some other oil and wwb is using MCT + EO + some other oil.

We also have the assumption that almost all these oils come from stromusc, a single factory.

I don't know if this answers your question (or any question), but EO can convert into EE with heat

It could be a matter of temperature during shipping

Correction: EO is likely more fluid than EE so better at making a finished product flow like water

Dose/poison but yeah
